From the For Profit update:
the failure of her attempt to gain a foothold in Megalopolis
I posted this two weeks ago, but I didn't want to draw extra attention to it in the meantime due to all the troubles GtG were experiencing with EU Shipping for Wrath. Now that's finished, though, I'm sure they're happy to hear about more EU shipping problems. Right? :D
First, The Operative agreed to work with him. After her loss of status with the fall of Rook City, and then the failure of her attempt to gain a foothold in Megalopolis, she was ready for a change of pace. Taking money and keeping it for herself seemed a lot easier than her previous assignments, and actually working for herself was just the change she needed.
I'm starting to wonder if VotM will have a theme of villains working for other villains. Plague Rat is working for RevoCorp, the Operative is working for Zhu Long, and although Ambuscade is technically independant, he does have other villains working with/for him, and he got his powers from other villains (RevoCorp?).
And if Miss Information's new look didn't come from an accident in her battle with the heroes, I'm betting she got some upgrades from someone else as well.
Estelindis: Send a message to warehouse@greaterthangames.com and someone should get back to you ASAP. Yeah, I have no idea how much these are going to weigh, but that doesn't seem quite right. Unfortunately, I don't know what GTG is using for those calculations or if they're getting the numbers from another source.
Would you share any response you get? I'm in the north of England and I'm might interested in the shipping charges.

I feel sorry for the Sentinels
Particle man, particle man…
EDIT: I first thought Particle Man, but Spider Pig fits better.
Rabit, I don't expect a reply today - I think it's a holiday in the States? However, if there's no reply for a few days, I will follow your suggestion and email them.
slaaneshi611: of course I will share any response I get! :)
I like how Writhe looks more surprised than anything else.
If the EU shipping works anything like Canada's, there should be a separate flat rate shipping option to select besides the regular one.
Edit: If I choose United Kingdom I see a preorder flat rate, but if I choose Ireland I don't get that. So..... ask Craig & Jodie =)
I would like if one of the environments in Villains is what we see here. Maybe Zhu Longs temple is in the Himalayas?
Thanks for the suggestion, MigrantP! I'll fire off an email. I was kinda wondering how something like this happened, but it makes more sense if it's only for some EU countries, or maybe even only one.
Edit: Email was clearly the better approach. Within two minutes, I had an answer promising to look into it. :)
I think that the vats aren't so much "healing" vats as they are cloning tanks. "Bio-mimetic" with the emphasis on "mimetic". Sure, you could probably use them in a medical capacity to make skin grafts or grow new organs, but my bet is that the Chairman's plan involved growing new copies of Spite, and OD'ing each clone on one specific drug. That way, insteasd of one maniac on all the drugs, he has 5 maniacs on one drug each.
So- Demon hand is likely the purple fire one on the Broken City box (and the Visionary's "Foresight" card), we've got another on Wraith's "Throwing Knives" card (he certainly looks beefy), another (grudge maybe) being sucker punched by Tachyon, Cyst on adam's recent post...
My guess is, each has the red mask, since each one thinks of himself as "Spite". And for all we know, they may all hate one another.
Exactly
Narratively, that actually sounds really cool.
Didn't they already do that exact same narrative with Ra in Flames of Freedom though?
What? A superhero who came back from the dead? Multiple superheroes coming back from the dead? Say it ain't so!
For the record, Craig very quickly sorted out the Irish shipping problem. :) I can now see just how delightfully reasonable the flat rates are. For Broken City, For Profit, and five copies of Villains, the rate was still only $40. In a rush of abandon, I increased it to 20 copies of Villains, and even then it was only $55. So reasonable! Looking forward to getting a big pre-order group together. Thanks to GtG for making this effort for EU customers.
Ra coming back in Flames of Freedom is before any of the villain shenanigans start. it's not really an 11th hour save so much as it's a "oh, you're back, and so is he..." I guess what I was trying to convey was the idea that Nightmist wouldn't even appear in the scenarios until the end of scenario 1 or 2, turn the tide, and then the next scenario would be the heroes retaking Rook City from Exemplar. it would be better if the packaging allowed Nightmist to be ina seperate sleeve kind of like Risk legacy, and you don't even get access to her until the appropriate moment in the scenario booklet, but that's really asking too much.
