If there is anyone but Smafdi and I in the area, was thinking we should do some regular meet ups too, probably at the Guard Tower or something (Theyre pretty cool there should be able to work something out)
I'll be in that area for Origins next year!
and we're looking forward to it :p Going to be hard to decide where to spend our time this year. 7th Sea RPG or Sentinels... (im leaning toward Sentinels!)
Surely there's time for a little of both?
I live just on the KY side of the river from Cincinnati, so I am not "close", but I am definitely planning on attending Origins this year as well. Depending on how often the meetup is and when it is, I might be able to swing it. (I have gone up to several CABS events in Columbus before)
Always time for both most of the 7th sea games worth going to are on wed/thurs anyways. The more Heroes of Altamira I do the less Crimson Valor I want to do. Only really worth doing CV for the people who don't do HoA.
As a heads up to anyone who is going to a con where >G has a booth, there is usually at least one >G person wandering the con in the evenings looking for people to play Sentinels with.
I am a couple hours away from Columbus and visit there from time to time to see family and friends. Is there a regualr game night?
kirioni:
We have a general tabletop night at my house on tuesdays, usually rotates between 7th sea, World of Darkness, Exalted, Legend of the 5 Rings, and various board games. Though with the holidays we aren't meeting for the next 3 weeks. :( If you are interested when you're in town though drop me a pm, maybe we can arrange something, always interested in meeting new people / players.

That is great, I'll have to find some way to steer them towards whichever room the 7th sea crew ends up in, that's usually where I hang out between games :o maybe get a few more converts.
On a side note, i have these sentinel points my roommate got for buying my copy of EE at gencon, is there going to be a use for them in the future?
Aw, man! I live in Columbus Ohio, but I'm moving to DC at the beginning of January! I hear Fog of Dusk has board game days on Sunday, though. So I'm sure if you take SotM there, they'll welcome it with open arms (Fog of Dusk does seem like a good place to support, as there are not too many board game stores in the area.) You might be able to use that.
I'm in Louisville, KY, so I might see if I can go to Origins this year.
Sentinels Points are good forever, but in limited times and places. Best bets are at cons where >G has a booth, as well as some other events, like when Christopher came to Indy for a bunch of game days. They can be used to get art prints, promo cards, and, if you've got a whole bunch, for things like t-shirts.
My girlfriend and I live in Columbus (both avid fans of sentinels) but out of town for the holidays. Remind me in January and we can probably do something.
are you back yet Sentinels Fan?
My wife and I are in Dayton, and regularly game with the Wittenberg Role-Playing Guild in Springfield.
While its a little bit of a drive from Columbus, they hold weekly board game nights every Saturday during the academic year, and hold their own gaming convention in late March.
SotM is actually the featured game next Saturday, February 23rd, so it's guaranteed that it'll be played there.
Their convention this year is actually one month later, March 23rd, from 11am till midnight.
