Apostate's relics

Here's how we've been playing Apostate.  Please let me know if we have been doing it correctly.

Apostate's relics say "Apostate does X damage".  So for the purposes of certain targeting, or preventing damage from targets, would those relics count as targets or Apostate?  We've been playing it that Apostate is the target.  Not talking about when we attack targets, but more when certain effects reference the source of an attack.   I'm sorry that I don't remember the exact cards we were using where this came up, but it involved either Bunker or Fanatic.  Similarly, whenever Fanatic took damage from a relic-based power, we added +1 to it for Apostate's nemesis effect.

If the card specifies that Apostate is doing the damage then the nemesis bonus would apply. This only matters for Condemnation since it specifies on the card that Apostate deals the damage. The Gauntlets of Perdition specify that it does the damage, and so extra damage dealt from it won't get the nemesis bonus.

It's also good if you've zapped Apostate with something that lowers his damage (or prevents it entirely), such as a Stun Bolt or Hypersonic Assault - then you'd block both the damage from him and Condemnation, since the sword is wielded by him.
