I've created some homebrew character for Sentinels which are currently up on BoardGameGeek. However, while I can just about manage to create charracters and flavour text, I have godawful artistic abilities to make the cards look good.
As there are many more talented artists among the forumites, I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in assisting on the art side of things. As it's a fan deck, there's basically no money involved.

I'm afraid I can't help here, but I'll be watching with interest, since me and a few friends are in design mode too, and non of us are really artists in a drawing things sense.
That said, I'm trying to train myself up because the ability to draw things like that will be incredibly useful, and while I don't have skills in drawing I think I'm generally artistic enough to learn to the stage of half-decent. Eventually.
So if anyone fancies tutoring me a bit, that'd be great! ;)
Yeah, that's the plan right now. Read stuff, draw as much as I can, learn a bit about anatomy (not difficult for a biology geek), try to suss out proportion, draw some more, get shading horribly wrong, look at things a lot, draw some more.
I'm better than I was, but still very very amateur.
Yeah, for the villain and environment I posted on BGG, I just downloaded images / art that fit the card's theme. Which was no where as interesting as having art specifically created for the cards, but there's no way I'm going to be able to make the time to create art and the artists I know don't have the time or interest to create art for that many cards.
I hope someone takes you up on it, pwatson! That would be great - I'd love to see the results.
Personally I've just used Champions Online for my "art". Helps that I have a lifetime membership and can easily buy any of the extra costume packs with the monthly stipend I get, which I haven't spent any of in nearly a year so I should have a nice amount saved up. I would love my characters to be drawn in the same style as the official cards but probably not happening unless I come into some big money.
I wish I could help, I haven’t been much into the drawing in a long time, more if a sculptor now, so if you ever need your guy as a tactics mini that’s a challenge I’d be up to.
