I've always been playing that you can, but I don't think I can see a rule that says one way or the other.
I don't see why not. It's not like it'll effect gameplay if you dig in it. Not to mention with Tachyon you often need to dig into your trash to see how many burst cards you have. Also anytime when they say take a random card from the trash it usually states shuffle and draw from the top.
Also, that pretty much only applies to villain decks, and the only reason it's random is because the villain wouldn't be able to actually CHOOSE, being -- you know -- a CPU player.
But you may never know. A hero may allow other heroes draw a random card from the trash and put it into play/hand. The world is full of possibility.
Tachyon basically requires you to be able to know how many of a certain kind of card is in her trash, so I assume you are always able to.
If this were the case, you'd still have to shuffle your trash before you drew.
I don't see any harm in looking at your trash. But this sounds more like a house rule issue.
I'm sorry, but I just have to point out that did you read any of the post prior? The reason for my response was because of the fact someone else stated that shuffling the trash and drawing from the top is currently only used in villian decks. Which lead to my above response, thus it implies that I am refering to shuffling and then drawing. So yeah, that's why my initial post also stated that looking in the trash effects the gameplay at all.
... lol...
Katsue, does that answer your question/concern? As a general rule, it seems like they make the rules to make the game fun and to stay out of the way of the players. So, if there isn't a rule for it, do the one you guys like better :D
