I was playing the Realm of Discord and one of the cards came up that said that a hero can not deal damage until the start of the next environment turn. I destroyed that card before the next environment turn. Could that hero now start dealing damage again?
Nope. Same for cards like Akash's Ensnaring Brambles that prevent a hero from dealing damage until a specified point of time.
It also means if Legacy uses Next Evolution, and it gets destroyed, he is still immune to the start of his next turn
does the damage buff stay if Legacy dies after galvinizing?
It will indeed stick around until the start of Legacy's turn.
But Inspiring Presence and Heroic Interception do go away, just 2 semi related cards
This is in the rules clarification pdf on page 1 . . .
destroying a card before it’s finished
when a card is destroyed before it can finish its effect, any remaining effect is cancelled.
Doesn't this include these situations?
No, because the card effect specifically says "until the start of your turn" or similar.
Other effects aren't dependent on timing like that, so they go away when the card is destroyed.
No, it's talking about resolving effects still 'in action'.
The effect of Galvanize for example has already resolved. It has already added one to hero damage until the start of Legacy's next turn.
If a Citizen is dealing damage to all hero targets and you let Ra take the first hit, Ra can hit it with Flame Barrier and kill the Citizen, the effect (dealing damage to all hero targets) is canceled as the card is destroyed mid-effect.
No, because it's not a card remaining in play that's providing the buff. In the case of Inspiring presence, that would be the case; however, it's a singular, activated ability that lasts for a specific amount of time. It specifically lasts until the start of his next turn, and is no longer considered to be the source of the damage increase.
