Characters that scare me a bit.

I still don't agree that X is significantly weaker. Again, I did a comparison of the similar cards like Terraforming and Bioengineering, and from what I can tell, X when performing similar functions to his counterparts is generally more consistent and efficient.

Also, X doesn't need help from other heroes to be great. His components don't do more than two damage each, but they all go off at the start of his turn and essentially give him free damage before he plays any cards or uses any powers. Rocket punch as well is a pretty solid damage power. He's not going to outdamage someone like Ra, but he will still be doing consistently decent damage every turn, and as far as DR goes, he is one of the only heroes who can naturally do irreducible damage. I don't think an isolated hero will hurt Omni-X so much more significantly than other heroes.

X also has some of the quickest setup time out of all the characters. Reset gives him a free draw and play, Technological Advancement allows him to draw a card and search for an equipment or component, and then his own base power gives him a free play on top of all that. Usually Omni is pretty ready to go on his own in about round 2 or 3 with no help from other heroes.

Having other heroes around certainly helps reduce damage, but depending on who you're fighting with the right plating X takes little to no damage even when he's taking the majority of the damage, especially if he's in a game of H=3. I just don't find him significantly less effective on his own than heroes like Legacy or Visionary. He relies a lot on his components but he has some of the quickest set up and recovery out of any hero.

I think Omni's Ideal setup would be two EPE's in play.

And coincidentally enough, O-X's ideal setup is two EDU's in play.

I skipped out on the drones for two reasons. The firdt was I focused on the core omnitron units. Yes he builds the drones because he is a factory, but just because he is building them doesn't mean they are as much a part of him as his guns and actual factory floor.

Secondly, as I stated, most of the drones don't effect the outcome that much. O-X can almost ignore the automatons, he can damage more than the repair bots heal, and he can kill all drones on the field before his "turn" is over. So if O-X gets the first strike Omnitron can have out whatever he wants, o-x destroys it or renders it ineffectual. If Omnitron goes first than the way assault drone works or the explosives, then Omnitron can kill… well dang, with 69 damage omnitron can kill just about any other character in the game outright.

When you said "factory floor" I abruptly developed an intense desire to roleplay Omnitron in a game of RoboRally.

To get back on topic, Skinwalker Gloomweaver's obverse is freaking terrifying.  Before, he was kind of a cliche, but now...shivers.  Adam absolutely nailed the pure malevolence and bio-horror of the guy...he makes me think of Xipe Totec, walking around with no skin and demanding sacrifices by the thousand.

I know this is way back there, but I dislike it immensely when people confuse "being social" with "being extroverted". Being far more introverted the extroverted, I still socialize, just with fewer people for less time because I need to be alone to recharge. Actually, the flavor text on Unity's cards support the introvert idea: happy and playful with her friends, annoying/weird/rude to others (not necessarily true, just how she's seen).

A dark Unity villain would be nice, especially as the RPG seems to indicate she has an always active weak magentic field around her: "always manipulating a bit of metal around her".
