Comics Issues of the Multiverse

Got bored waiting for Christmas and compiled a spreadsheet of which cards reference which issues in the Sentinels comics verse.

This pulled out the following facts:

Hero with fewest different appearances in their deck: Bunker with 10

Hero with most different appearances in their deck: The Argent Adept with 17

Villain with fewest different appearances in their deck: The Matriarch with a mere 5

Villain with most different appearances in their deck: The Chairman with 13

Issue with the most appearances in a single deck: La Capitan's La Paradoja Magnifica one-shot.

Issue with the appearances in the most decks: Science and Progress One Shot appearing in 8 different decks. After Vengeance decks are included, Vengeance #4 dethrones this crossover juggernaut with appearances in 9 decks (but only 1 pre-Vengeance).

I also did a similar project, and I believe the villain with the least appearances is in fact Akash'buta, with zero in any deck. That is to say that she has no recorded spoken lines, that are linked to a comic. (I didn't go through the environment decks extensively, as they have a different format.)

As did I, and the Freedom Five comic series is referenced in the most different decks, but then that may be fairly unsurprising... So maybe Akash can't speak?

Has Vengeance been released without my noticing?  People are acting as if they've seen the cards, flavor text and all (and the Statistics Project has been updated, so perhaps people are playing with them too).

Playtesters have certainly seen them. Some playtesters have played games with other people online and in person.

And the spreadsheet has been updated but has no details, so you can select them but don't know any of the permenant cards.

I thought the playtesters didn't get art or flavor text though.

I don't know the details, but it was implied in the London gathering thread that they played some games with Vengeance characters, including the art.

At the very end of the process, we get the proofs to make sure there's no misprints. I personally spend as much on printer ink as I do on the game (excluding shipping) to get good quality colour versions early as it's more fun than with a black on white card. And yes, they were my cards used at the London gathering. Playing Vengeance characters with Christopher was a heck of a lot of fun.

As a creation goddess, Akash has no reason to speak, she makes things that do what she wishes, and can probably control them as well.  She would have no reason to form language or learn to communicate with things that she destroys and creates at will.

The only god's that should use language are those that desire worship or obedience of creatures that they respect.  Akash shows no sign of desiring worship or respecting individuality.

Yes, I've seen the full colour cards with flavour text, thanks to pwatson when I was in London. It was one of the highlights of the trip, with the other highlights being, well, EVERYTHING. Except almost missing the coach home.

Adam knocked the art out of the park. If you thought the DW promos were good, there is some great stuff packed into the decks

nah, i just know my time will be short again soon enough, so figured id get it out of the way now before too long, also give Arathorn some time to work on getting his sheets to parse the data.
