Coming up 6s

Playing Sentinel Tactics, The Wraith is attacking Baron Blade with a 4-die attack, and aiming. One of the attacks is a 6, so she ends up with four 6s.

Baron Blade rolls his three defense dice -- All 6s. I stare at it in disbelief. I mean, through all the years of rolling up D&D characters, in particular, and all sorts of other games, I don't know if I've ever seen that -- a natural 18.

Then I notice that Blade has out his power that allows him another defense die and roll it. Another six.

Then I notice that The Wraith has out her power that allows her to reroll a defender's defense die. Another six.

A 4-die, aimed attack resulting in four sixes, plus the ability to reroll a defense die. All blocked.

The dice fu is strong.  Don't worry you'll start rolling nothing but 1s soon enough

Quit now.

If you continue playing more Tactics games you are just tempting fate.

I just.... Can I have your dice-fu? I'll look after it, promise.

I need for RPGs and the odd wargame....

Nick would kill for that kind of dice luck. His is famously terrible. I often play the good boyfriend and let him win because of it.

I don't even have to actively let my partner win when it comes to dice based games, I just have to roll the dice and accept defeat.

Personally, I think the dice are conspiring against me. Insidious blighters that they are.

I rolled 4 6's and a 1.

For Flying Smash.

I roll insanely well for Baron Blade, hmmm. . .

Jealous. In my RPG group, I'm known as "Critical Fail Brian".

I once rolled a 6 movement for Omnitron. So that was cool.

Did that once, and it was first turn of his scenario 1, so it would have been dumb to move.

I mean really, a 1 in 200 chance and I blow it on a turn I didn't move.  It was sad.

_Was_ it good dice fu? I was playing both the heroes and the villains.

It's good for you, because you get to share a pretty cool story and bask in the jealousy of your peers. For the heroes and/or villains? That depends on which side you were rooting for at that moment.
