Damage redirection and rider effects

I have some questions about damage redirection that came up in our last game of Kaargra Warfang in the Enclave of the Endlings, so I'll use cards from those decks for my examples even though these are pretty gneeral questions

Let's say Provocator Tarnis is in play and Expatriette has an Assault Rifle with Liquid Nitrogen Rounds in play. She shoots, targeting first Villain Target A, then Provocator, then Villain Target B. Being the first damage inflicted during the round the damage inflicted to A will be redirected to Tarnis, so we end up with Tarnis taking 2+2 damage and B taking 2 damage. Now which of these situations applies?

A) The rider effect on LNR applies to the original targets regardless of redirection. Tarnis, A and B all take a "-1 damage dealt" token.

B) The rider applies to targets actually damaged by the power. Tarnis and B take a single "-1 damage dealt" token, A does not.

C) The rider applies to targets actually dmaged for each instance of damage. Tarnis takes 2 "-1 damage dealt" tokens which obviously stack, B takes one and again A does not.

Another situation that arose was when we had Immutus and Korrupton in play. Immutus ended up taking a whole lot of 1-damage pings from Korrupton. The rider on Korrupton states that targets damaged by him are dealt 1 additional toxic damage. On the there and then I rules that since Korrupton had damaged Immutus he would then deal to him only 1 additional toxic damage, not 1 for each ping Immutus ended up tanking. Applying the same logic would make me exclude C from my LNR example but I thought I'd ask.

Note that the wording on Korrupton and LNR is slightly different. LNR state that the rider applies after the gun is "used to damage a target", while on Korrupton is a shorter "after a target is dealt damage." Is the difference significant?

A third doubt I have is about KNYFE's Incidental Contact. In this case it was eventually ruled that as KNYFE deals each ping she immediately decides wether to apply or not the additional ping. (Don't ask me to quote this though, I don't remember where) So if she wanted she could do something like "1 damage to A, redirect to Immutus, apply additional damage on Immutus; 1 damage to B, redirect, apply more damage..." and so on. But Korrupton's ability is worded with "then" which makes me think that he applies the additional effect only after each possible target has been dealt 1 melee damage.

Any opinions on this?

Expat's LNR only affect the actual target of the damage, and take effect if the target is dealt damage or not.

Anytime damage is redirected the final target is treated as the target of that damage.

Korruption deals each target damage.  Then he looks and sees who actually took damage, and each of those targets takes 1 toxic damage, so Immutus takes 1 toxic after eating all the pings.

Knyfe's is worded to make that decision take place after each damage, so each time you deal 1 that initial damage you decide whether to hit that target again or not.

The key is Korruption has "then" making the second part take place after the first resolves.

Knyfe's is written as a static effect, it takes place as long as the card is in play, and for each target damaged that way.

So Incidental Contact will jack up Immutus much more than Korruption will.

Okay, thanks for explaining! I thought it would be something like that

If Tarnis ate two LNR shots from an Assault Rifle do you think his damage would be reduced by 2 or 1? I'm leaning towards 1

Gotcha, thank you both for the help
