Easy but effective setups

Okay...

So I've been noticing for some heroes I feel there is a great setup that is easy to achieve. For instance Legacy with Motivational Charge, The Legacy Ring, and Inspirational Presence is an easy setup but works perfectly. Or I find Razor Ordinance, Micro Computer, Utility Belt, and Throwing Knives are easy and fun. I'm wondering if anyone has simple setups that are extremely effective. I can base these off of some familiar characters, but I don't know how other people play the same hero. Or a different hero Im trying to get myself to use again after failing the last 3 times. Anyway, what do you use?

Dynamic Syphon and Cleansing Downpour.  It requires both Captain Cosmic and Tempest, but it's only two cards, and against some villains (or with the help of pinging heroes) basically guarentees that every hero will stay at full health for the rest of the game.

Captain Cosmic has some neat ones:

Destructive Response, Sustained Infuence, Potent Disruption and any construct card. Destroy the construct with PD, hit another three targets for one energy from DS, and set the construct back up with SI.

And if you don't mind losing a bit of health each of your turns, Unflagging Animation and Autonomous Blade is a neat combo. Hit yourself with UA, then have AB hit something. Don't try this with Wounding Buffer tho...

Ah, and if you find that your constructs are getting hit alot, remember you can always attatch a Healing Conduit to them. Conduits aren't just for heroes!

Combos with Argent Adept? Don't get me started...Okay, I'll give you three simple ones.

Musaragni's Harp+Inspiring Supertonic: My favorite AA combo. I always try to get this one out if I can, since it's a base for most of AA's combos. Let someone(or AA) use a power, then heal yourself. Only 2 cards needed, and infinitly useful. My bread and butter for when I play AA.

Telamon's Lyra+Alacritous Subdominant+Inventive Preparation: Plays, plays, and more plays. Well only two plays, but you get what I mean. Use AS's perform then IP's acompany

Xu's Bell+ANY Rythm card+Inspiring Supertonic: AA's most versitile instrument, Xu's Bell not only can play any part of a rythm card, but it can do a harmoniy's acompany as well. The most useful one I find is IS again because of the self-heal. But every card has it's place, so any harmony card can be useful in this one depending on the situation.

Now, since I'm so nice, I'm going to tell you a secret: Those three combos I just told you are all part of one big super combo. If the stars align and you somehow manage to get out all these cards, you can pull off one of AA's most productive turns. Here's the play-by-play(or power-by-power):

Harp>Perform IS>Lyra>Perform IS>Bell>Perform Rythm+Acompany Rythm/Harmony>Acompany Rythm>Acompany Harmony.

(You can swap the places of the Harp and Lyra if you want, just remember it swaps those last two acompanies as well) You can get off so many good things with this combo. And you what's great about it? You can swap out the third instrument as the situation sees fit for a different combo!

...Wait, isn't this thread about SIMPLE combos? Heh, sorry. I could write an entire guide on AA's combos...

Edit: Added the Healing Conduit/Construct combo. Also multiple spelling mistakes fixed.

Legacy with Lead From The Front and Next Evolution is one of my favoured tanky setups. Extra tanky if he is Selfish Greatest Legacy healing himself every turn.

Almost invincible (and unnecessarily over the top) if any of the following are present:
Legacy Ring in a team with Tempest equipped with Cleansing Downpour.
Visionary’s Twist the Ether.
Ra’s Flesh of the Sun God (situational).

Try that with the Legacy Ring and another Next Evolution on any Legacy, and you're tanking two-times the damage.

One of my favorite tanking setups is The Sentinels with Durasteel Chains, Aura of Vision and Human Shield.

1 Team Communication buys a you 4 rounds of maintainance. And skipping your play phase means this can be sustained indefinitely.

Use Mainstay’s power each turn and you’ve got a 14 HP Stealth Bot with twice the damage reduction.

This combo basically makes The Chairman a cakewalk and I love it.

As long as the Thieves are properly managed.

Yeah, but they only destroy one a turn, so it's not like you're in danger of a wipe from them. And if Legacy's tanking all the damage, it's no issue at all to wipe them and the Fence off the map.

Another thing I noticed in the video game -- if you use Sustained Influence to re-play a construct while they're being wiped by Construct Cataclysm, it'll get wiped again, meaning you can effectively add a +2 to the attack if you choose to destroy those cards.

Two basic ones I know for Sky-Scraper are Colossal Left Hooking into either a Techtonic Chokeslam or a Thorathian Monolith.

I know it's not really a combo but I love putting Aggression Modulator on Char and Mdjai. Any environment that hits both villains and heroes at the same time is a great target for this card.

Even better: Putting two Aggression Modulators on Char. Or an Explosive Wagon.

Try Colossal Left Hooking into a Tiny card, too - Linking Incursion and Catch a Ride come especially to mind. Especially fun with Proportionist in play!

Ra with Imbued Fire and Flesh Of the Sun God.  Works amazingly with heroes who self damage or damage other heroes -- try it with Nightmist, SkyScraper's Huge size, Haka's Rampage, ... not so great with Absolute Zero though.

Also Setback! Ra with that setup plus Setback is one of my favorite team ups in the game.

Add in a Twist from the Visionary and everyone also becomes immune to any damage they may have to deal themselves (hey there, Plague Rat...) :D.

Speaking of Plague Rat... An infected Mr. Fixer with a jack handle is quite the fun time. And with a driving mantis out, he becomes very hard for PR to kill

Jack Handle vs Plague Rat can lead to some silly situations.

Also fun: Jackhandle + Compulsion Cannister = two global, irreducible attacks. Really easy way to punch through Riveting Crane's effect.

Mr Fixer can't target himself with the second set of damage from Complusion Canister as it has to a a different non-hero target.
