hi I just got this game, and I am trying to learn it. so ihave a qweastion. how do the ellemental effect attack work. say I deal one of the villians say fire effect. will this mean he or she will be dealt fire attack evveryvturn as if he or she is on fire or does this just mean that if they arecweek to that ellement they get delt more damage, or they just get attacked regukarly .
First off, welcome to the forums, hope you survive the experience.
As to your question, all damage done has a type but the type itself has no different effect on a villain, it is just an idea of how the hero is dealing damage (e.g. Tachyon does Melee damage because she punches people really fast). But some ongoing/equipment cards can increase or decrease specific types of damage, or certain targets can be immune to specific types of damage, it's all detailed on the cards themselves.
If you look at Wraith's deck you can find a card called "Micro targeting computers" which increase any projectile damage she does, if you were to play a oneshot card does melee damage then Microt argeting computers will not increase the damage done but most of Wraith's powers do Projectile damage so that damage would be increased.
Another card you might want to look at is Ra's "Flesh of the sun god", it makes him immune to Fire damage, so he would ignore any Fire damage but all other types of damage would still reduce his HP normally.
Geenrally the damage types are themeatic. There are some villains that are immune to various attqcks, such as Voss' minions and some that have retaliatory effect,s such as Baron Blade's elemental redistributor but unless one of those effects is in play, damage dealt is just damage dealt.
thanks that realy helps. would it break the game if one say added ia house rule that had an ellemental damage last for say one round. say a villan plays a fire delling card aganst legacy he would lose a point of damage at the end of each hero turn untill it is back to the villan turn. Thats what me and my gaming group thought happend and was how we played it, it worked ok other then we couldn't figure out a way to say heal it.
