There might be some Friction in this episode The Letters Page
If she’s tormenting Tachyon that really seems kinda Vengeance-adjacent. Not quite what I hoped for. But admittedly she has very little motivation aside from this. They could have innovated, but I can’t blame them too much for not doing so, when they’re still getting their groove back. Overall, I give them 3/5 stars for adherence to the prompt.
anyone know how to download the episodes with the new page? I always put it on my phone and walk around work listening.
relistening at the old job with one earbud in is what had me ask the “Ra + Setback buddy cop” question that led to Backdraft Ra
Walking Target provided it in Discord: https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/theletterspage/LettersPage-06012026-319-Friction-Tremble.mp3
Today sucked, and while I did get to listen to the episode, I couldn’t type out my usual reaction notes to it, and of course it is hours later and I have forgotten just about everything I might have thought. -_-;;
Shout outs to Tremble, the Gloon squad, and whoever was mentioned in between them that I thought sounded kind of neat. The real ones fr.
With how much they talked about writers for issues it really made me wish I knew where my name shows up. Since I paid extra to get my name in the history of Sentinel Comics
Loved the intro banter. They didn’t say anything about why Adam might be grumpy, and I might have wished to hear something about the shift to contractor, but I don’t care. “Christopher’s Self-Harm corner” is all I could have wished for.
I enjoyed the doppler effect the first time Christopher did it, before Adam called attention to it. “Now they went mainstream”, lol. But seriously, it was cool when I could barely notice it, it was like discovering something.
To build on my previous comment, the mention of Unity gelled what I would perhaps have preferred. Her Vengeance story is about Tachyon, her RPG era is about Blade (spoilers lol), but this story would have been a great way to explore why Krystal is a bad person, by seeing her seethe with insane hatred for Devra when they’ve never met before. Have Unity be freshly hired by Tachyon, left alone for the first time, and suddenly she starts being tormented by this speedster that she never sees, because Friction is impersonating Tacky and trying to gaslight the new intern who replaced her, just tormenting her for nothing resembling any legitimate grievance. The whole thing could happen before Vengeance, while Friction is still learning how the speedsuit works.
Dang it! Maisie Trimbull! It’s right there! She’s an intern for a few weeks, why would she have a code name? Friction should call her Tremble and she should think that’s dumb, but get shouted at if she even starts to complain. That way her last words can be “don’t $@#%ing call me that.”

I know when I backed it said 1 slot left and when I clicked and got to the pay page it said they were all taken.
I did offer Darren Watts (RIP) and Laird Professor Christopher McGlothlin 20$ to write me in anyway.
Yeah, it’s a shame you’ve had to wait for so long. I was on Discord with Brian Jewett when he saw his name appear in the game, and it was delightful.
I had assumed after the project funded, when they asked for a suggestion as part of the backer survey, that they would come back telling me where I was slotted. Just makes me more anxious and hopeful to see the final History of Sentinel Comics book.
I got to say after listening to the episode I feel attacked
Envy is her flaw, Envy is a problem, Envy is “bad”
to number one gloon what did you play in the C&C game? were you the guy married to the halfling? were you the CM? You guys were the groomsmen at the Hawk-Glueman wedding right.
I figure as role-players helping out a buddy, they would be a minion group that cannot take the same action and the one that rolls lowest has their action changed to a boost that affects the rest of the group and is applied before the other actions. some surprisingly good tactics, a bit of luck, teamwork, but also a lot of theory that does not always work in the real world.
Soviathall would like to know your location
They can keep wanting.
