Fun with maths and deck-building

Fun Fact: If you combine Iron Legacy and Plague Rat, you can build an unstoppable damage machine of doom. Use the two Demoralising Presences, Galvanised and two copies of Shadowy Ambush as your H starting ongoings (as Iron Legacy) and fill the rest of the deck with cards that hit all heroes for 2 or more damage:

  • Vicious Onslaught x2 - 8 hits for 5 damage each.
  • Ravage x2: 4 hits for 5 damage each.
  • Rule From The Front x2: 5 hits of 7 damage each.
  • Flying Assault x3: 4 hits of 7 damage each.
  • Sun's Fury x2: 5 hits of 5 damage each.
  • Mass Overheating x2: 5 hits of 5 damage each.
  • Hasten Doom x4: 5 hits of 5 damage each (plus a card play).
  • Devious Disruption x2: 5 hits of 6 damage each.
  • "Consider The Price of Victory: 5 hits of 5 damage each.

The first card play triggers n x 2 card plays, where n is the number of hits it inflicts; each further card then triggers n x 2 more card plays. Now this can only go on until the deck runs out, but the deck will be run out on the first instance of damage from each card; then the 19th card will play that card (n x 2) - 1 more times, then the 18th card will play (n x 2) - 1 more 19th cards... Oh, and then at the end of the round Iron Legacy deals everyone 6 damage and triggered this ten more times.

The total number of hits inflicted by 20th cards will be something like 1.2 x 10^20 (or 100,000,000,000,000,000,000); each hit is for about 5 damage, so that's 6 x 10^20, and the chain is done 11 times, so 6.6 x 10^21.

I do not plan to use this deck. Ever.

I'm actually a little sad I pointed out the loop in the other thread because if the sentinels hadn't had a loop I think that one would've been close

Well we can always break out the Iron Lady again at some point.
