Hey all, I just received my copy of Infernal Relics in the mail (yayy!) and had a question come up while playing that hasn't arisen before.
While facing the Ennead on Advanced, Tempest had out his Gene-Bound Shackles. For the purposes of this question we'll say the villains in play were as follows Geb at 26, Atum at 25, Isis at 24, and Set at 20 health respectively. Assuming no other damage enhancers and Tempest using his basic Squall power, could the damage be divied out as such - 3 damage to Geb as he is the villain target with the highest HP, 3 damage to Atum as his HP is now the highest of any of the villain targets, 3 damage to Isis for the same reason, and then 1 damage to Set?
I want to say yes, as you get to decide the order your damage is dealt, but it almost seems too good to be true. We played it out as if that was not the case (still won), but I just was wondering for future reference. Thanks in advance for the help.
Also, this is unrelated, but I think I've found my favorite combination of heroes - Ardent Adept (played him first at Gencon and fell in love), Newest Legacy, Ra, and either Tempest or Unity.
It's a wonderful combination of power, support, and slow build
Ra and Young Legacy are up-front damage w/ Tempest doing AoE. Ra and Young Legacy also both have potential to give plus one to everyone. Unity is just awesome all by herself, and when she's with a lot of other immediate damage heroes who ALSO have a ways to affect the ongoing and decks she gets the time she needs to get a bunch of bots out and then it's game over. And Argent Adept? The ultimate swiss army knife.
I could not have explained it better myself. Argent Adept has quickly became my favorite hero to play. He's just so damned useful. Ra and Young Legacy both have ridiculous amounts of single target damage and can bulk up everyone. Tempest can spread large amounts of damage around all the enemies when he has backup from Ra and Legacy (nothing like dealing 4-6 damage to pretty much everything twice a round). Unity is just a fun hero to play with, and with AA in play, she can use her Golems a lot more than she otherwise would have been able to (learned that trick at Gencon when I played AA and was letting Unity get her Golems out on my turn).
