Is anyone else having trouble with suddenly being logged-out of the forums?
It is really obnoxious when I finish a post and get an Access denied message when I try to post it.
Just wondering if this is a forum problem.
Typically on my phone I've seen issues like that and the forum is hard to navigate on it anyways so I try to avoid using it for posting. Most often I'm viewing and posting on my ipad which I see occasionally I'll get logged off but it's apparent before I would post anything.
Hmm. I've not experienced getting logged out randomly. My iOS devices will log me out after extended intervals, but that sounds different.
I get logged out on any of my devices if I haven't checked the forum on that device in a couple of days (I have to re-log in every Monday on my work computer), but I haven't experienced any other unusual out-loggings besides those.
What Spiff said (although it seems to be every two weeks for me).
I don't recall ever being logged out, except for when I go to Ja'Ph's house and check the forum there, when I need to log in...then need to log back in again when I access the forum back home for the first time. But last time I don't think it even did that, and I stayed logged in on both computers.

I have trouble accessing the forums after logging in. The menu will appear as if I am not logged in, but if I go into a catagory, things will start showing up. Really troublesome when trying to access Playtester forum, as it won't appear if it thinks you are logged out. This isn't just a device problem, that is access on my Macbook.
I've noticed that sometimes I'll come to the forums after a period of time, but my bookmark is for a page that requires me to be logged in (the new posts page). So it kicks me to the "you're not logged in" page, then I log in, then I go back to the new posts page and it acts like I'm still not logged in. But a quick refresh of the page reminds it that I am indeed logged in, and I'm sure it's just a caching thing with my browser. Maybe that's what bessy is encountering?
Sometimes I get a new post message for something I just posted. Not sure if this is related.
Very close to that Spiff, though it isn't a bookmarked page specifically. I have never received the "You are not logged in" page, it simply appears as if I had never logged in at all. Sometimes refreshing helps, but mostly not. Very odd to go to General Discussion, appear logged in, and going back to main forum page acts as I am not.
I think it might be the amount of time I am inactive.
I tend to work on posts for a while, so it is possible I get logged out because I haven't done anything but type on one page for a while.
There was a time that I was getting logged out repeatedly, but I cleared my history and cache and it stopped happening.
The pages on the forum are set to cache for a long time, and they don't get reloaded based on your login status. So you may be logged out and go to a page, then log in, then go back to the page and it says you're logged out. Force-reloading the page will work.

Between my comp and my Nook, I find I get logged out about once a month on both. Other than that, I have no problems.
So, weirdly, I was on here this morning then closed it to shut down the comp and go to work (as I have done before many times), and funnily enough this was the last thread I had time to look at. And when I opened the forum up this evening, I was logged out and had to log back in again. Insert spooky music here ;).
