Another thing about the Adept is it doesn't matter if he's lacking in a particular area - he can get someone else to fill that slot for him. Say, damage. Someone needs nuking right now? Okay, let Ra play that Flame Blast or Tempest his Lightning Slash. Maybe you want everyone to have some more damage instead - okay, Legacy, go ahead and re-Galvanise everyone so they're at +2 till his next turn. Once the Adept has got some stuff out, he just needs to be able to use a power and he can do plenty, even if unable to play or draw. He's also a wonderful target for stuff that stops you dealing damage (like if you're fighting Akash'Bhuta and she puts out some Ensnaring Brambles on the first turn - they will be affecting the Adept, since right now he has the lowest hp of any hero), since chances are he's probably not going to be nuking stuff as his primary function…though he can work as a damage dealer, like he can work as pretty much anything else…it's just much less likely to occur than him filling a support role. I think about the only thing he can't directly do is scout other people's decks (the nearest he gets to deck manipulation is probably Vernal Sonata), but he can just get the Visionary or someone else to use a power and cover it that way ;).
I suppose you could just use the Adept and Tempest. Then the former can let the latter do All Of The Things even more :D.
