Known Scion List and Speculation: Who is the last Scion?

Random thought: What if it's that guy, that like... Italian artificier? I can't even remember what episode he was in. He made the Mask of the Matriarch, was that it? I can't remember his name. D: I'm not helpful in the least.

Ignacio Gallo ? Way too obscure ,Tim Cosing is someone with a card in the game already I think

I think the final scion is obvious. OblivAeon wants someone that is already great at working in large groups and can weild power beyond what his body should be able to hold. That man is Ronway the Cursed Scion.

While he may be working for OblivAeon, it’s clear his true loyalties would be with the amazing GloomWeaver. So Ronway the Cursed Scion is after the power of OblivAeon to give to GloomWeaver. Surely with that much power GloomWeaver would have no issues coming to our world. Soon out world will be engulfed into darkness and our overlord will rule with a bone fist!

Stop giving away secrets!

Yeah.

You need to charge at least $1

He'd have to get him out of the OblivAeon shard in Medico's chest first, I think.

Wonder what OblivAeon offered Ronway to make the Scion deal appealing...he's already not wearing pants, so it's not casual work attire.

Timing may be an issue for the Spite theory. Did Scion’s Aid come before or after Be The Gate?

Both covers have issues listed with them and that list of issues is the same for both.  So it’s not clear on chronological order.

Honestly that's been one of the most difficult parts of the ARG for me to keep straight: I keep thinking that everything that happened in the ARG is precursor to OblivAeon, then I remember that Ra died to OblivAeon, and End of Days even states that "the cosmic entity responsible for everything" showed up…which means Ra died before the Scion's Aid.

Is "Dark Psuedonym" my fleshchild duplicate?   (I'm Darth Pseudonym over on Kickstarter, and also on Steam, btw.)

I'm with you on the 'very worst person to become a scion' thing, but I don't know where you're getting the idea that Gloomy ate Jack's soul.  According to the Gloomweaver episode of Letters Page, they "switched places" when Gloomy inhabited the body to become the Skinwalker, and they never mentioned Spite again in that episode – which means Jack's soul got shoved off into the Realm of Discord somewhere, along with the majority of Gloomweaver's power (at least until Gloomypants was able to go into Rotting God form).

However, all that said, when I go back and read the Scion's Aid ARG fragment (which I haven't in six months), it sends me back to thinking it's gotta be Voss.  I know each of these points has counterarguments, but:

  1. The spoken lines sound more like something Voss would say than Spite. (In particular, "little heroes of Earth" sounds like an alien warlord.)

  2. The silhouette could certainly fit Voss (in a 'take a knee' pose), but would only fit Spite if he's in a particularly buff but not mutated state.

  3. Spite's soul was dumped into the Realm of Discord, which is weird and trippy but hardly 'beyond space and time', which is where the Scion says it was found.  But at 1:09 in the Gloomweaver Letters Page, that's precisely the phrase used to describe where Nightmist banishes her foes: "She's sending them nowhere.  She's sending them beyond space and time.  They are nowhere and nowhen." (Props to Chogb001, who noted this back in April, which helped me find the exact quote.)

I'd love to see Scion Spite, but the evidence for Voss is stronger.

Yeah, I mean, even if Spite got grabbed right in the middle of the Skinwalker event, that's a really short timeline, and it doesn't really fit what the Scion said.  The Scion made it sound like it was lost outside time and space for a long, er… time, and then had a decently long time to learn about Oblivaeon.  And that doesn't fit with Jack's necessarily short time of partnership.

Am I really the only one who finds Voss creepier as the Scion than Spite?

With Spite you'd end up with everyone messily dead, but with Voss you'd end up with everyone as slaves with no free will, which strikes me as a Fate Worse Than Death.

That is a salient point! Spite's always been kind of one-track, in that regard.

No matter who the final Scion is their plan to take over for OblivAeon only barely makes them better.   Instead of destroying everything as we know it everything will still be around but as Jeysie said possibly some fate worse than death.

Just a note that if you are outside time and space, it could feel like several million years passing for you with no time passing in the real world.

Rereading the ARG comic, it makes me wonder if the 10th Scion is a difficulty 3 partially because if you beat OblivAeon without defeating the Scion first, you lose the game.

This Outside of time and space is one of the reasons I really think that the scion is Voss. Nightmist banishes him to who knows where outside reality and on top of that he is banished off of Timm Blvd in the art. Between Tim on that card, Mistbound being another 9 letter word that the ARG cared so much about and Rainek fitting alphabetically, I'd be really shocked if it wasn't Voss.

What if it's iron legacy? What if he was saved right before the iron legacy timeline exploded and turned into a scion by oblivaeon.

Yes, Iron Legacy is one of the front-running candidates for the Tenth Scion.  The biggest argument against him is the Scion's Aid page from the ARG, which makes it clear that the Scion wants Oblivaeon's power for himself, which isn't really the Iron Legacy style.  Voss wants to rule the universe; Iron Legs wants justice at the cost of freedom.

I have a hard time imagining Iron Legacy using phrases like "little heroes of Earth" and "sweet child", not to mention accepting a "collar" from Oblivaeon – would Iron Legacy allow himself to become the pawn of a universe-destroying force on the off chance that he could snatch its power away?  I don't think so.

Also, the Scion indicates that he was lost outside time & space before Oblivaeon found him, which doesn't fit well with being snatched out of an imploding timeline.
