I was watching Dr. Horrible and noticed that the freeze ray and Blades' death ray look a lot alike.
Am I crazy?

Moonfall Day Day... see you there... underlings... tumbling
Want to sneer... evil glare... here I go... bumbling
But with my Death Ray I wil end... all life
It's not a Freeze ray or an Ice Beam, that's so Ryan Frost
I just want to find the might... to find the strength... so all hope's lost
He also has a rousing number about how he's better - better than Paul.
Ironic
Sorry, never watched DHSAB. :/
You should, at least once, and it should be rather easy to find. Speaking as a person who has been in a live production of it, it's okay, but by no means is it the greatest thing since sliced bread and oh we should continue worshiping at the feet of Joss Whedon oh he can do no wrong… But I digress.
But yeah, Both of the sides of Mad Bomber Blade are very concurrent with the story of DHSAB; at first he's in front of recoding equipment of some sort, and next he has his death ray of sorts. Also, since some of Tachyon's quotes are shout-outs to that show ("Dude, I'm not your nemesis," "Look at my wrist…" That sort of thing) I would think it's safe to say there was some inspiration taken from there.
FYI: Tachyon as a whole is a general reference to Neil Patrick Harris. For example, her last name is Stinson, the same as NPH's character from How I Met Your Mother. You'll find the quotes are often references from his other roles, also.
And I'm guessing, going off her personality, before she met her wife, she seems like she could have been quite the ladies…lady. How would one say that? Would 'Lady-killer' work? That term always sounded a bit sinister to me…
