Mark All Read

So I might be needing better glasses but there used to be a drop down menu at the bottom of the main forum that allowed you to select the option "Mark all threads read" (or something like that) but I can't see it any longer. Is there a way to achieve this same thing?

When I log in I just go to "New & updated topics", click on the ones that interest me and mark the rest as read.

You can go to each individual forum and find the drop down menu at the bottom to mark all as read, but I don't recall being able to do that for all forums at the same time.

First of all-YOU CAN DO THAT!?  MAN, do I feel foolish!  I'm just gonna do that from now on.

Second, there was a drop down menu at the bottom of the forum "hub" that had the option to "mark all forums read".  Every time I used it I was concerned that I'd mark a new post I wanted to check out as already read.

I read threads by going into them, reading them, then using the Back button to return to the thread list for that section of the forum. When I do this, the thread gets marked as read without my needing to do anything. Once I've read all the threads I want to, then I'll use the "mark as read" thingy to clear any threads that I'm not interested in reading...which is practically none of them apart from the Events section, usually.

Ok, but so the option to mark all all the threas from all the forums was there and now is gone. Pity, saved up time.

Oh, you mean you don't just go through and read every thread?

>_>

<_<

Good to know that you're listening to your public.  Rupert Murdoch has not the orbs to do likewise, and this probably explains a lot.

Incidentally, if you go around adding "Mark all threads read" buttons around, I'd appreciate one on the "View new threads" page.

ditto!

If it makes you feel better I read every thread Admin posts on. So either it's a "Mark all read" button or just post on every thread =)

I read every thread.

Because I can't not do it.

It isn't always a good trait.

I certainly open every thread. I skim quickly over the forum games, but I read every word otherwise. Similarly it isn't always good for me either, and my world would contain less frustration if I could learn to avoid certain parts of it.

while were talking about board features, id love a Admin Tracker like blizzards blue tracker or riots res tracker. to be able to easily pull up all of christophers posts would be awesoooommee … for the wiki of course. yup. just that. im not a stalker fan or anything. nope.

Why stop there?  On most forum software I'm familiar with (PHPBB and SimpleMachines being the main ones), you can just click on a user's profile and find all of their posts, whether they're an admin or not.  I'm sure it'd be possible to make that happen here.
