So I've been thinking, and hoping, that it would be really cool to see bios, even small ones, for all the mini-nemesis'. Some of them simply because their story has to be good (Tantrum has to have a great story in my opinion) but also they are connected to the wider story, and just about everything with a nemesis icon has a story behind it to help explain why.
Why is Equity (supposedly) after Naturalist? What is Empyreon? How the heck did we get Doc Tusser? How did Vyktor get a Frankenstein lab?
My hope is that >G is already planning to release bio's for these guys, I figure Christopher has them locked away either in his folder or his head, but if not my vote is in the yes please corner.
Equity is probably a figure from Naturalists past when he was a dirty business guy himself. Maybe they have a checkered business past together and Naturalist, once he found his inner good guy, maybe screwed Equity over.
Empyreon looks like a water spirit. Interesting tidbit, empyreus is a latin term which relates to being in or around fire (pyr). Empyrean is a word that means composed of pure fire or light and also references a high order of the heavens and the sublime. What does all that mean together? No idea. Interesting name for a water spirit though.
Doc Tusser I'd like to know more about. He doesn't look very human. Wonder what his story is.
Vyktor, after Voss was banished to the Realm of Discord, probably needed a new home to practice his Mengele impersonations. Baron most certainly would have been happy to help.
Voss was banished somewhere by NightMist on Mistbound. Since he appears on Negative Energy Field, some folks say that it is the Realm of Discord is where he was banished to.
I will also join the call for bios in general, and Doc Tusser in specific.
I mean, he's a modern-day evil alien/mutant Doc Holliday. Who might or might not be a pastoral poet. How is this not something I can read more about? How is this not something I can dedicate the rest of my life to?
As has been said, that was Argentium. Empyreon is the big cosmic guy with the massive gauntlety hands (like a lot of Marvel spacemen) and the glowing core in his chest (like Gypsy Danger from Pacific Rim). And Revenant is the one who looks like Moon Knight, only beige-er.
I have no idea who Gypsy Danger or Moon Knight are (never heard of either, though I have heard of Pacific Rim) ;). I haven't fought the Vengeance guys too many times just yet so some of their minions haven't come up for us. I should have a proper look through all the cards at some point and see all the pics :).
I routinely block Armageddon 2001 from my memory, so I had a very surreal moment of trying to work out how the Kirby-esque spaceguy could possibly remind you of this:

And I've never read a graphic novel, ever. Oh wait, I own the Hobbit. That's it. I'm not really that interested in superheroes - I've seen a few films and the occasional TV show (a few cartoons when I was a kid, the silly Batman TV show, maybe a couple of other things). It just happens that Sentinels overrides that by being such a cool game :). But generally I skip any thread on here which talks extensively about various (non-Sentinels) superheroes. Or American TV progs which I usually haven't even heard of, let alone been vaguely interested in or even watched ;).
Having seen Vengeance for the first time tonight, I retract my comparison of Revenant to Moon Knight; they don't even look alike, it was just the wiki's snippet-shot of Revenant that made him look like he had a hooded cloak. He actually seems to be more of an Evil Iron Man kind of deal. Also his suit isn't beige; on one of Parse's cards it appears to be rather greenish, but I suspect it's actually a highly-reflective metal which tends to pick up the color of whatever's around him.

I do find it surprising they didn't sneak in a motive rant or something from him somewhere - he is, they say, the first original supervillain Christopher came up with ever, so you'd think they would have been eager to do so. But, then again, I can respect them for prioritizing the villains they thought could really use the spotlight (the V5).
Of course, to me, the deal with Revenant is relevnt (say that five times fast) to a lesser degree, since in our SotM game banter, we've been alluding to a past supervillain by that codename, now dead, so we'd always assume the new guy was tied in with that, regardless of what we hear.
You know who I am increasingly curious about, though? Ruin. Specifically, how the devil did he get to Earth from his usual residence in Snake Mountain, on Planet Eternia, forever plotting to reclaim Castle Greyskull?
