Has there been any word on when we could expect to see multiplayer reach the general audience?
From the streams it seems the expectation will be within this month.
Cool, hopefully they'll have fixed that really annoying bug I kept getting where I'd get kicked and then have the game treat me like there-but-not-actually-a-player when I came back in (therefore meaning everyone had to quit). I'll play again when I know there's been a patch to fix that ;).

You are so behind the times, the cool new social media thing is 140 carrier pigeons flying to each individual person you want to know your news, every bird has 1 letter painted on their breast. The recipient needs to catch them all and put them in the right order to decipher the message.
Environmentally sound, health benefits and no way for your communication to be intercepted with hacking technology.

I'll just wait for people to post the updates on here then - I don't use any of that other stuff. I'm sure I'll hear about news one way or another so I'm not too worried about missing anything important :). When the game actually gets updated I'll see it on my Steam thingy anyway.

Something we noticed tonight -- different versions of the app can't find each other for multiplayer games. We had a couple people on private beta, and three people on public beta. None of the private beta people could find games made by the public beta people or vice versa. Also, one of the people on private beta was on Android and a version ahead of the other two private beta people, so couldn't see them either. All five people had all DLC and all variants unlocked.
One of the people also noticed that even though they were on the private beta in Steam, when they tried to switch over to a laptop and get the private beta working there, despite the fact that they used to be able to use the private beta from either their laptop or desktop, every attempt to get the latest version just got them the public beta.
Yes, that's quite necessary, and standard for multiplayer games. A newer version of the game will have changes and fixes that the old game doesn't, and they will get out of sync or not be able to communicate properly.
