Out of curiosity, what happens if Fixed Point is in play? If you tried to play a second copy of a Limited card, would it still go into the trash on the basis that it was never in play to start with (it didn't manage to get that far), therefore isn't being "destroyed or otherwise removed from play"? That'd be how I understand it, anyway, but, you know, just in case... ;)

I am pretty sure that the second limited card never gets a chance to "be in play" so to speak, it just instantly goes into the trash. I really want to say this was confirmed at some point, but am having difficulty remembering if that is actually the case or not.

It basically goes to the trash instead of entering play, so it's never in play. (If I remember correctly...)

Yep, the limited rule doesn't "destroy" anything, it replaces the action "put to play" with "put to trash".
