It's National Dog Day, over here in the States. This girl is pretty much the thing that my life revolves around.
But… I thought the dog days were over?
Spouse and I are looking forward to getting a house again, as that will allow us to get pets… 
Nick gets by just fine with his pooch in an apartment. Just saying.
I had not heard of this day but I'll certainly give my dogs some extra treats today. That is certainly one happy looking dog in that picture.

My Lab is old and slow and wobbly and arthritic and doesn't see so well, but she sure can wag her tail! Even though she can't go far now she loves walks and she's a big fan of raw vegetables, for some reason. Also she's called Summer so she'll be getting her Citizen powers any day now, right?
Saw a real-life weiner dog today...it was a bit surreal to watch.
