I played with Omnitron-X for the first time yesterday and I have a philosophical question about the Slip Through Time card. I know that we can't use the same power twice, but why can't we do it with this card ? If Omnitron-X is slipping through time, why can't we use his power again... he's going back in time after all ! Well... what's your thought on this ?
Omni is great. I love both how he plays omewhat similar to a villain, lots of start of turn effects, and how is strategy is more in how to build him up, and less in how to play righ now. More proactive, less reactive.
Omnitron-X is great. The only villain I wouldn’t bring him up against is Spite. Too many kinds of damage going out at once; he’ll lose all his upgrades.
I wouldn't want to play him against Citizen Dawn, either, at least barring some serious deck manip assistance. Too many damage types to block, and Devastating Aurora.
Eh, for the most part you can get away with “Elemental Exochassis,” which means he’s only about as screwed as everyone else is once “Devastating Aurora” gets drawn. Slightly less, maybe, with all the shuffle-your-trash effects he has.
I world go with elemental plating against dawn covers most of her worst damage dealers and herself. I also find his base power helps quick setup and recovery.
As for Spite OX brings quick card play to neutralize the bounce effect. Just being able to abuse slip throught time over and over. If you manage to keep EDU in play you can cover for the whole team.
I juste love OX and Iron Legacy is pretty much the only one that really scares me.
