Hello,
in our latest game, our group ran into a recurrent issue against Voss in relation to his power to have damage dealt to him reduce by the number of minions in play. This first appeared when Expatriette used Combat Shotgun (with a +1 damage boost) on Cyro Bot, and later to use Submachine Gun (with ammo and +1 damage boost again) - in both instances, all villain targets were being hit. The issue is whether this damage is assigned and resolved simultaneously, or if damage is dealt and resolved (including destroying the card) before moving onto the next target?
When these situation arose, we assigned and resolved damage to minions first, one at a time, causing Voss to take the full measure of damage dealt to him (thematically it seemed to fit with the Submachine Gun - Expatriette would gun down all the minions until she had a clear shot of the big guy). However, we could also see it working the other way, where damage is assigned to all targets simultaneously, card interactions (like Voss' damage reduction per minions in play) are factored in, and then damage is resolved (targets with o hp are destroyed); in this case, causing Voss to take far far less damge.
any direction would be greatly appreciated
