Here comes a new challenge. This one is simple, just do a random adance game and post your results with your favorite move that was done that game (if there is one). Then, update the totals on the bottom.
I'll start:
Advance Akush'bhuta VS Chrono-Ranger, Tachyon, Dark Watch Nightmist, & Omnitron-X IN Ruins of Atlantis
Outcome: Close game, but we lost
While the -1 damage was annoying, the game wasn't so bad. Things went down-hill when a fully setup Omnitron-X took 5 damage to wipe his board. HIs plating that stops melee and projectile was incredibly useful, but was hit for 5 when the environment played Entomb. Everyone but Omnitron-X went down, and he lasted awhile, but Omnitron-X kept getting hit with the Ensnaring Brambles and he couldn't deal damage. Lasted a while, but it finally went down.
Favorite Move: Used Electro Deployment Unit to have Omnitron-X play Slip Through Time and Elemental Exochasis on the same turn. For a power, I discarded a plating for Defensive Blast, which allowed me to deal 4 damage to everything instead of three with Elemental Exochasis. Then, Slipped Through Time allowed me to play Ablative Coating after the power, so I was still protected from melee and projectile.
Kaagra Warfang vs. Golem Unity, Chrono-Ranger, Fanatic at Enclave.
Lost pretty badly (8 - 21). Did pull off one pretty epic move though where Chrono dealt out of turn damage on Kaagra with By Any Means and Ultimate Target on her to reduce her to 0 Hp. She bounced back to 6 HP Dealt each villian target damage ending with herself from mindbreaker and than KO'd herself with Death-Caller so no hero targets were damaged.
Infinitor vs Young Legacy, O-X, Tachyon, and Nightmist in the Block
Close game, overwhelming victory?
By the time we had removed half of Infinitor's health, he had decimated our team. Legacy, O-X, and Tachyon were dead, and Nightmist was at 1. But then Nightmist went into her Mistform. And at that point, we were all but guarenteed victory. I could have just stayed in Mistform and let him kill himself, but that wouldn't be fun. I healed back to full (courtesy of Starshield Necklace), and drew my entire deck, and stacked my trash with 4s. The Block guards were out in force, preventing the inmates from getting any toeholds. A few rounds later, and Infinitor was dead as a doornail.
Favorite moves:
There were two this game. The first was that the Block and Infinitor managed to work together to flip him back to his front side while Nightmist was in Mistform. That was entirely without the help of the heroes.
Secondly, the game ended after a massive Oblivion. I'd stacked two 4s, Elder Ring was out, and Young Legacy's incap had boosted my damage. Infinitor took 18 damage and nothing else survived (except Nightmist, who took no damage). Then Nighmist played Mistbound, and proceeded to kill Infinitor on the next round. Lockdown was in play, and the game ended with Infinitor totally locked down and controlled.
Advanced Grand Warlord Voss vs GI Bunker, Skyscrapper, Termination Absolute Zero, Termination Untiy in Pike Industrial Complex
Close victory or close loss (I retconned an incap action I made once I saw the environment card that came out, so not mint)
Everyone had their moment (though AZs were mostly after he was incapped). AZ fell early getting neither module, or any decent damage dealing card out and getting picked on by lowest/all target minions, plus multiple ill timed vat explosions. He did use Subzero Atmosphere to save us from the first forced deployment. Once incapped reduce all damage but cold by one was a life saver. Skyscrapper went down next tanking most of the damage from the third forced deployment (boosted by the +Damage Vat) leaving Bunker and Unity at 3 health each, no golems out, and Voss at 18 with 14 minions plus the flagship out.
Bunker was in turret mode so he made damage to Voss irreducible and launched a grenade, Voss at 14 and only botless Unity left. Fortunately both incapped heroes allow for card plays with three card plays (four since one play was swift bot) Unity was able to pull three bots together while augmenting Bunker's grenade launcher for just enough damage to win the game. I'm sure I did things wrong but it was a blast to play. Thanks for the challange.
Comic Story Moment: Skyscrapper gives the "Go on without me, I'll hold them off" speach buying Unity and a Bunker from the past just enough time for a stealth mission to assassinate Voss, thus saving the multiverse... this time.
