Redirected Damage

Hey! Long time reader, first time posting :D I love this game, and I've been playing it almost everyday since I got it :D

Anyway, enough about that. Question time! I was playing against Baron Blade, and he had his Backlash Field up. Now, he uses Hasten Doom, dealing 2 damage to all of my Heroes (I was playing a solo game with 3). The other two heroes were hit jsut fine, but my mr. Fixer had Driving Mantis out, so I chose to redirect the damage back to Baron Blade. Now, the damage was just redirected; does Mr. Fixer still get dealt 3 damage due to Backlash? I mean, he isn't the source of the damage (he just redirected it). In a way, BB dealt himself damage, yes?

An extension question! if for example ol' BB had BOTH Living Force Fields out, reducing all damage he receives by 2, and I redirect the 2, the damage gets reduced to 0, yes? Does that mean that (let's assume I DO get hit by the Backlash, even when just redirecting) I don't get hit for 3 anymore? Since I didn't deal him any damage anymore...

Since Blade was the source of the damage Blade would actually hit himself with Backlash field also. Redirecting doesn't change who is dealing the damage, it'll just change who is taking it.

Yes t'll get reduced to 0, and since he didn't actually take any damage he will not strike himself with Backlash Field.

Oh, that is just awesome. So I get to redirect the damage back at the Baron, and he hits himself for hitting himself? COOL. It's kinda funny when you think of it thematically: Baron Blade tries to throw a vial of poison at Mr. Fixer, but he somehow knocks it back at the Baron. The vial hits him and breaks, dousing his Backlash Field Generator and causing it to short circuit to hurt him even more. FUN.
