Rooftop Combat + Dark Visionary shuts down Akash'bhuta

Had an interesting game today. With Rooftop Combat in play, all damage increased by 1 effectively negates Advance mode damage reduction of 1. Meanwhile, environment cards cannot be played until Rooftop Combat is destroyed. With Dark Visionary using Turmoil to prevent Disrupt the Field from being played, the heroes simply took their time to tear down AB Limb by Limb.

Shouldn't Rooftop Combat have triggered the first time you killed one of her 10 or 11 HP Primordial Limbs? Or did you have Twist the Ether or something on her as well?

The 10-point trigger on Rooftop Combat is only for hero damage to non-hero character cards.  So if you focus on the limbs and let Akash punch herself, you could comfortably keep it in play indefinitely.

We once had Rooftop Combat come out in the first round against the Dreamer. That basically gave us a perma-buff to our damage and completely negated any other potential environmental effects (which, in Megalopolis, are often bad to the point of causing us to lose by locking us out of various actions for several rounds in a row) for the entire game, since the only way Rooftop Combat was gonna go away was if someone use environmental destruction to get rid of it. I can't remember which heroes were in the game but it doesn't really matter - we kicked the Dreamer's arse anyway :). Well, her projections, I mean. We won and she herself took no damage :).

First turn Rooftop Combat against Miss Information... we were not amused.

"Yeah, Amina, we're on the roof. But I don't see any intergalactic hellhound up here."

"Stay put; I'm sure it will be there soon."
