Don't know if anyone else has been reading this from here, but Luther (one of Tactic's designers) has been posting some cool stuff about the history of the development of the game Right over here on BGG.
Some really great stuff, and some info on the early versions of Both AZ and Blade have been posted. Cool reading.
I think it is insightful and inspirational. Reading his words has convinced me that I, too, can someday aspire to such a lofty and prestigious position in life! Also, they cured my cold and unkicked my puppy.
This was a really awesome read, Luther--it's neat to see what goes into designers' revision and development process. I've seen what it looks like on the rpg end and, while I've prototyped a few board games, I haven't been able to see it from the board game end. Thanks for sharing and I hope to see more!
I plan on going through all the characters eventually -- it's just taking longer for each one than I realized it would. I sit down and think "oh, it should only take me fifteen or twenty minutes to write abou Baron Blade" but then I realize I have to explain about how villains started out vs how they ended up and this and that and hey I remembered this other thing about this power I already wrote about and when did it get dark?
