Sentinel Tactics is now on Kickstarter!

I love the touch with her adding the "I" to the end of the belt, which she claims stands for "Intern" (sneakily turning the FV into the FVI)

So the new stuff is an add-on pack.

First I totally understand the reasoning behind it and approve of how they are handling it.

I am a bit sad though.  The whole shebang with painted minis is now up to $350 which puts it out of the "maybe if I cut this and skimp here I can get painted minis."

I'm balancing the idea of dropping the minis all together and going the $90 for everything but the minis route.  We'll have to see what all gets added and how much finagling I can do with finances, and how much goodwill I can build with my wife before decisions have to be made (2 weeks, sheesh)

Lastly, the poster maps.

I really like the variable maps, but for the scenarios it would save time to roll out a map and anchor it instead of build it.

I'm wondering if future expansions will include only poster maps, or if those are just something special for this.

I have a feeling they are specifically for this: They are significantly cheaper to produce. Of course, the art, playtesting, and printing of the scenarios is probably the largest expense…

@Rabit

Were you one of the ones talking about trying to make custom dice for this game?

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/customgamelab/custom-game-dice-you-design?ref=discovery

Just throwing it out there. Saw it during lunch.

Looks like I am going to up this to $140. I can image some grand scale fights on a 24 x 36 playing area! With some luck they will be printed on both sides. That would make the $140 feel much better. Even if it was just a big picture of Legacy on the opposite side it would be pretty cool. As it is we will probably get something on the order of 10-15 figures and 2 posters plus 2 corresponding scenarios. Not too shabby if it all comes to pass.

Yeah, as it stands, even without new scenarios, I've got months of exciting gameplay ahead of me. Not to mention how nice it's going to look on the table. I'm looking forward to many more expansions.

Oooo… :open_mouth:  Shiny!

Thanks, Foote - I'll take a closer look when I get home. I appreciate it!

Cool. I mentioned the idea of making custom dice in the Kickstarter comments too and some people there seemed interested. If you need help coordinating production and stuff, I'd be happy to help, Rabit.

I may be interested, as well. Depends on how soon after this Kickstarter it'll be.

What sort of custom dice were you thinking?

Honestly, I'm not going to have time to coordinate much of anything in the immediate future. (In the middle of a move plus work plus... ![](upload://qa4fxtIPJkELJzVQQAuf6EUc1b7.gif))

If no one else has picked it up in the next month, I'll definitely look at it.

My thoughts were to have sets of dice specific to some of the heroes. For example, I wanted a set of cold/ice-related dice for AZ, fire-related for Ra, mechanically- and/or gun-oriented for Bunker, pink with bots for Unity, etc.

I figured Legacy would be covered with the red, white, and blue dice that come with the game.

I imagine many folks wouldn't be willing to buy dice for all the characters (and I'm probably one of them, to be honest - that's a lot of dice!), so there would have to be some kind of analysis of interest levels (a poll of the options, with the top two or three being pursued), something like that...

Maybe we need a Kickstarter! ![](upload://rGKCoZAgHIQMRGS2KlZJS4qT9oW.gif)

Honestly, i may just end up waiting until GenCon and doing a dice pull at a booth. I'll be happy if the colours are right.

I would like a single dice for each hero for their on card movement recording (I use different dice for each hero's move, roll the regular dice but record it on the special ones.

I want a Tachyon move dice that show a sadder Tachyon the lower the number gets.  I'm sure that is reasonable.

For me, the second expansion's going to have to wait until retail.

I'm not even sure I can afford the base game at all right now, being unemployed for the rest of forever due to a chronic pain/fatigue condition. I'd absolutely love to get the minis, but that's almost certainly not going to happen.

Still, at least I get to playtest it, right?

Whoah, hold up.  The what now?

I would be totally up for a "Superheroic Combat" option, as I don't have the resources to paint minis or the money to get painted ones, and I'll take colorful tokens over white figures any day.  I've been frustrated that such an option isn't available, in fact.

Where are you seeing this "everything but the minis route," exactly?

On an unrelated note, I am deeply relieved to see >G separating further stretch goals to at least need a little more money to help cover production and shipping - it would be a crying shame to see this become the next Ogre, bankrupted by its own stretch goals.

The 50 dollar pledge plus the 40 addon pack gets you everything minis the minis. Well, you get whatever is in the addon pack at that point

Ah, sure.

But you still wouldn't get any of the Uprising stuff, so it's a long way shy of "everything," or am I reading this wrong?

Heroic Combat comes with Uprising. Check out the visual guide closer to the bottom

No, the uprising characters/cards.secnarios (everything but the minis) are stretch goals for any reward level, including the $50 pledge

$50 for the base game plus Uprising, and $40 for the add-on pack, right? That's everything except the minis?

Edit: Double ninjaed.
