I think we have our next stretch goal! 
I think I see where all the resistance to promo items is coming from. The assumption that they would be 1) better in some way than what is in the core game or 2) related to the card game rather than tactics.
For me something like more art prints would make sense. It is unrelated to gameplay and would give a cool added bonus. Maybe a >G button or something like that.
Just my thoughts.
Curious with the possibilities to make a custom environment tiles, here is a quick attempt featuring the Eiffel tower.
How about a World of Indines Map if Level 99 agree? Legacy is a promo card for Devastation, and it would have absolutely no story impact, just an extra map that people could have fights on (maybe a map that relates to the University so it promotes their upcoming release)

Aerial Photography maps are awesome, but generally expensive because you have to alter them quite a bit to make the elevation changes fit into hexes, or it ends up looking like you forced a hex grid onto something that doesn't fit.
There are several people who do it for the steampunk Zepellin game and Battletech, or at least did 2 years ago, I can't find their stuff now.
There are programs like Hexographer that let you make your own, but not with photos.
If the game gets big enough someone will jump on it and sell some cool maps like that on Ebay.

I've already made a full set of Insula Primalis tiles and about half a set of Megalopolis tiles, back when all we got for playtesting were tiles with blocks of color on them. I used basic Photoshopping skills, plus some 3D models from Google's Sketchup (the app that lets anyone make 3D models for their maps) and some Dundjinni top-down art assets for things like trees and cars. It's not that hard, and I expect to see a whole raft of custom tiles from fans once the game comes out.
I use Inkscape rather than photoshop, as I find that it provides better quality, especially when varying the size of the map to fit it to the grid or aligning the height-indicators within the hexagons. When I have some time tomorrow, I'll draw up a base-file containing a few lines explaining how to use Inkscape to insert a map and fill in the dots…

If Ambuscade's miniature doesn't actually turn invisible when his cloaking shield goes up, I'm pulling my pledge.
I'm still waiting to find out if they're using standees or tokens for heroes/villains/minions etc in the final version of the game since I have no interest in miniatures... Is that divisive enough?

I demand that all the heroes and villains are in the base game! And there should only be five copies ever printed, three of which are for me, because I hate other people! The other two should be in badly misspelled Welsh semaphore! And I want my copies delivered to my house personally by Adam, Christopher and Paul wearing kilts and purple wigs and clogs, singing in four-part harmony despite their being only three of them! And they need to arrive on Thursday! With a giant pizza, which may not contain any ingredient that has more than six letters in its name!
If I don't get this, I'm totally pulling my $1 pledge.
