The goal of this puzzle is simple. Destroy as many targets as possible in 1 turn. You may choose any legal setup, but you get to stack every deck the way you choose. (I recommend that you avoid shuffle effects, however I'm no longer sure that the max is possible without reshuffling, so stacking the deck when you reshuffle is now allowed).
I haven't actually solved this, but if I've done the math right then I know the max possible, and I think that it's achievable. EDIT: actually, I misread a card. I'm no longer sure that the max is achievable, but you can still get pretty close. EDIT II: Now I think that it's achievable after all.
All answers and hints should be labeled as such, and then hidden as white text. They should not be quoted, as that will reveal them.
I was over 100 when I gave up.
The number of targets you can destroy is infinite.
SPOLERS BELOW
Runes of Malediction + Relic Spirit combo.
Fixer: Jack Handle, Alternating Tiger Claw, Harmony, Bloody Knuckles
Legacy: Inspiring Prescence + Galvanize
Visionary: Twist the Ether x2- Mr. Fixer
Insula Primalis-Obsidian Field
Fixer deals 9 irreducable damage to the runes, which revive the relic spirit, which revive the runes again. Assuming this isn't just a silly loophole to the puzzle, this should count as destroying as many targets as possible in a turn. This kind of damage should K.O. nearly every target with at least 9 HP without worrying about damage reduction, so I don't know how many targets that would be.
Well. That was not what I had intended.
New puzzle: put as many targets on the field as possible, and then destroy them in 1 turn.
(That’s destroy them in one turn, not put them on the field and destroy them in one turn)
Oh, and for the sake of sanity, let’s ignore all Imbued Vitality schenanigans
That also ruins my plan, which was end of days and all 3 forced deployments + golems and constructs and environment targets.
Dynamic Syphon on Omnitron-X and others with similar powers let Forced deployment activate more than just 3 times.
I gave up when I realized imbued Vitality could add even more.
The original idea was just to see how many targets you could get out at once. Then I decided to up the ante by seeing how many targets you could get out and then destroy. I unfortunately didn't think through the implications of that version... and I completely forgot about Imbued Vitality.
With strange loops and talking hair dryers out of the way, the puzzle should be more managable (although the easy infinite solution is gone) while still being interesting, I hope.
