I don't know if anyone here plays the game Smash-Up but it is a game that regularly makes the rotation for us. My daughter recently asked me if they would ever do a Sentinels of the Multiverse Smash-Up expansion and the more that I thought about it the better an Idea it seemed like. They have all sorts of expansions for smash-Up, but not a superhero one. It seems like it would be a great fit. Anyway to the powers that be I am just throwing it out there that my household would buy one if it was made.
Smash Up's most recent expansion actually has the Superhero Faction. It would be pretty neat for a SotM themed expansion, though not sure how they would do it.
Darn! Anyway, I was thinking of Factions like The dark watch, Freedom 5, etc. It would still be cool if they could pull it off, but it probably is (and always was) a pipe dream.
It would be a great custom expansion on BGG!
I think various mechanics in smash up are similar to the various sentinels mechanics. Like tachyons being able to play many cards in a turn, and visionary manipulating decks are ones that I think smash up does have.
But I think smash up is faction based so it makes more sense to group all superheroes together instead of having speedsters etc. the team idea might work though, but I'm not sure.
