I get bored and just drift through the Comments section. Some people leave full game debrief's, others have random HP totals and such. And some have random comments like the following - thought Id share...
You're full of crap--Apostate is not an easy villain without the best of the best of the best.
Bunker's first 9 cards contained 7 mode cards!
Ow
Dreamer on 1HP and AZ used his incap power to kill her, huzzah for heroes!
oh god why oh god why - Return with the Dawn + Anvil + Truth + Summer + Autumn for the opening turn ... dear god for 10 rounds at least we just killed Truth over ... and over... and over... and over...
Typical Ambuscade trouncing. A trap actually triggered though!
Plague Rat ended the game on -20HP, thanks to Fixed Point.
Legacy was a jerk again
Freedom Six vs Iron Legacy... pretty epic, well-played, design team.
Oh my god.
Krakens everywhere.
Step 1: Write a guide on beating the Advanced Ennead. Step 2: Lose to the Advanced Ennead. Step 3: ?????
I like the fact that if you look at the previous responses for the google doc (for the new one at least, I never looked at the old one) it gives you the comments with no context. I'm now wondering which environment isn't nice to the sentinels...
Since I received my copy of Vengenace, in my games with Setback (either played by me or by another), those games have gone 0-8, including 2 losses to Baron Blade on advanced, once by his front side KOing all heroes, and once by moon pull.
Our first time playing with Vengeance heroes, we got pasted. We played all new heroes against the Vengeful Five, had no idea what anybody did, and just got steamrolled. We limped back to playing a couple of regular games using the new heroes against villains we knew we could handle, just to get our sea legs, and are now back on a win streak.
It helps that I've only played a Vengeance hero once.
(The Naturalist, with all the other V heroes against the V5. It was an extremely hard-fought game and we only just scraped the win. The Naturalist and Mainstay were the only two left alive at the end, with I think fewer than 5HP each.)
We tried Freedom Five vs Vengeful Five in the Freedom Tower and got destroyed. Four players, one running two Heroes, one playing for the first time, but even allowing for that it was a slaughter.
I nejoy that the V5 can still just crush you, but more in a way of "there are just way too many things to try to prioritize and they overwhlem you with numbers" (which is how they should be). As opposed to that PLUS do insane damage and destroy everyone's setup each turn that was the case with the early playtest builds.
