Blood, Sweat, and Tears all in the same round looks like the key. Just Cosmic Omnitron to go!
Seems to be killing Blood, Sweat and and Tears in one round? I killed two one turn, finished off the other the next. Man, that was hard.
I swore a blue streak when, at least 7 or 8 rounds in, I avoided a devastating aurora with the eyepice while pulling Blood out only to draw Citizen Truth. Luckily, I had just enough mustard to take them all down in that one round (go go gadget Wraith). I was going to lose at least one hero the next round, and have to start over I think.
I spent all game using double Eyepieces and not bothering to set Wraith up other than those and Smoke Bombs, figuring Legacy, Tachyon, Haka and Visionary could clean up. Visionary helped out by replenishing our sadly-diminished hands a little and removing the worst of Dawn's ongoings. Haka Savage Mana-ed as many pesky Citizens as possible, Synaptic Interruption saved us from serious damage many many times and Haka was sitting on a Rampage for practically forever and didn't even get to use it.
Getting your cards discarded every turn for so long is really painful and it took ages for Sweat to finally show up. And we totally lost the game, but it was worth it to get Mad Bomber!
Wells shoot. A lot of work down the tubes finding out that destroying both of Voss's ships in the same round doesn't unlock Omnitron's alt.
Why would destroying Blood, Sweat, and Tears lead to the Mad Bomber Blade promo? What's the story there?
promo bios are listed with the main character entries on the site just after their initial entry
They are all new/updated to coincide with the game update, however.
Maybe a bit more was added but with the exception of SST so far I don't recall reading anything that seemed new to me.
Hey MigrantP,
I shared the Mad Bomber Blade unlock through Google+ last night, because I don't have Twitter or Facebook. Don't know if it was fast enough or not. Love having access to the first batch of promos!
The first one we got was a tweet from someone else, sorry. We checked on G+ but did not see it posted to our G+ page (to be fair we're not 100% sure where to look, but it's nowhere we can see mentioning us).
Well done in any case however! And there's still Cosmic Omnitron to go for =)
I shared it at 12:04 a.m. EST. It's showing up on my Google+ as being shared with you. Oh well.
I don't remember seeing anything bio-wise about GI Bunker. In fact I'm sure I looked at the bios on the site fairly recently and didn't see anything about any promos…
Aha, we found it! G+ did not notify us and it was buried like 10 menus deep. We will email you shortly.
maybe I'm crazy but I recall reading bios for all the hero variants previously so far except for SST
Cool! Thanks!
Had the most boring and most interesting game against Dawn in order to unlock Bomber Blade. Had Legacy, Tempest, AZ, Wraith, and Haka on my team, and as you can imagine I had no trouble with anything. I had Legacy and Tempest healing for the first half of the game, smoke bomb shenanigans for the second half and overall it was a blow out. What was interesting was how long it took to get to sweat and tears. They came up in the same Infrared Eyepiece so I had to sift through roughly another third of the deck after I put out sweat (a mistake, but not a dibilitating one) to get tears. When she finally did come out, I took the most damage I took all game then got ready to smash them. I had Dawn in the teens all game so I had no problem getting the damage I needed to end it but I did go out of my way to have a little fun.
Tempest and AZ took care of the citizens for the unlock, so I saw how close I could get AZ to dying to thermal shockwave. Got him to 8 HP, more if tempest hadn't finished of 2 citizens, from 28 HP. Used that damage to kill legacy. then I used a inventory barrage on wraith with 1 equipment less than max. Killed wraith immediately. Ended it with a 17 card haka of battle plus a 8 card savage mana.
Easiest Dawn game I have ever played and also the longest. Who wants to draw out a game against Dawn?
I was wondering the same thing myself
Because the Freedom Five was fighting Citizen Dawn in the major "Sunrise" story-arc when Baron Blade unexpectedly returned with his "blow up Megalopolis while the heroes are distracted" plot.
I unlocked
SST --> Involves playing 5(?) burst cards in one turn. Have pushing the limits, HUD Goggles and fleet of foot, and it's not too hard to pull off
GI Bunker: Play All thre mdoes in one game. Once again not too jhard to pull off.
