That darn Blade!

Now, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the greatest Sentinels player in the world. But I know my way around the decks, and have played many times in person and I've played the video game A LOT.  Going into a battle, I'm reasonably confident that I'll at least hold my own.

That said, I've now lost my last THREE battles with Baron Blade! I hit randomize, go in thinking " well, this won't take too long..." Only to be surprised by the ill-timed devious disruption, or stinking double backlash fields or what have you. After the second defeat, I chose Blade for a rematch....only to witness Fixer, Expatriette and Absolute Zero allowing the the Baron to pull the moon into the Earth. Sheesh.

Guess you've got my number on this day, Ramonat.

Tomorrow? That's a different story. (I hope!)

Take some deck control. I mean I know that removes some of the randomness but it sounds like he's beating you because his deck is a mean deck. If you bring Visionary (or Dark Visionary) along, you can mitigate some of that.

Oh, I've beaten Blade plenty before...I think it's a testament to the game that even seemingly "easy" villains can sneak up on you from time to time.

Or three times in a row.

Ah, okay. I misunderstood.

Losing to Blade three times in a row is pretty impressive. :)

It helps if you're only using 3 heroes.  In general I find that the original four villains don't scale as well with H as the later villains.

It wasn't three times in a row, but as I've shared before, I lost to Blade WHILE PLAYING WITH CHRISTOPHER.

I lose to Baron Blade more often than I'm prepared to admit. It's embarrassing.

I haven't lost to Blade but I have lost to Ambuscade.

I have lost to every standard villain beside Chokepoint, but I have less than 10 games against her.

Just had a really nasty match against Blade a few hours ago. I was using O-X, Bunker, DW Nightmist, and AA in Megalopolis. Started with some slow hands, just started building. Devious Disruption. Build up a little more, Devious Disruption and Paparazzi. I pulled through, but it was rough going there for a minute.

I have lost to Baron Blade, non-advanced with the Freedom V by both moonfall and hit points.  The Hit Points one was Wagner Mars base too, I was stunned and embarrassed.

The few times I've lost to Blade, it's always because of Devious Disruption -- either because it hammered me, or it forced me to get rid of crucial ongoings and equipment and I couldn't recover in time.

Hate that card.

I'm sure you'll all be relieved to know that Blade did NOT prevail the fourth time.

TLT, grandpa Legacy, Omnitron X and Dark Visionary (I wasn't taking any chances) flattened Blade in the block.

Only Legacy took damage, and that was because he played Take Down twice.

Whew! Now I can move on.

Baron Blade is the one villain I still haven't lost a match to. I was beginning to think it was impossible to lose to him. Of course I felt the same way about Ambuscade, until that one horrible day. I had to step away from the game for a bit after that embarrasing defeat.
