The Joy of Discovery

One of the things I love about this game is the capacity it has to surprise me with things that I've never noticed in cards that I've looked at hundreds of times.  I tend to theorize and speculate about the hidden clues far more than is healthy, so it was a joy to find something new that (as far as I know), no one else has noticed!

Take a look at the Chairman:

Take a closer look:

whoa.  too close.

Pull back, and take a look to the left of him.  Who is casting that shadow?

As far as I can tell, this is somebody new.  Whoever it is has exposed (slightly sticky-uppy) hair and ears, as well as a slim physique and what look like armguards.  Its a safe bet that I'll be looking for a match from now on!

Wow I can't believe I missed that either.  After the first image I figured you were going to mention the shadow in the picture.

Interesting.

I thought you were going for the mustache...

I'm confused on which shadow you are talking about. The eye picture does nothing for me and I can see how the shadow on the wall might not be his, but it's not conclusive.

I guess I see the shadow on the back wall isn't his; the armguards convinced me

Perhaps it is his shadow, but is also an allusion to his earlier villain career in the sentinels mythos.

What art is that from? On his character card, it's cropped a lot more than that, and all you see is the shadow's arm.

You can see the top of the box labeled "Game play" so I'd say the oversized villain cards.

Oh, right. I don’t have my Sentinels set on me at the moment so I couldn’t verify myself.

Long shot silhouette comparison: KNYFE - Rogue Agent has the requisite spiky hair and her gauntlet arm (if reversed and you squint a bit) could resemble the gauntlet.

But I don't think it works. KNFYE has no real story connection to the Chairman yet, and the shadow is certainly not a dead ringer for her.
