This is why Absolute Zero is my favorite (and why I love SotM in general)

I was playing a game today against Advanced Baron Blade using GI Bunker, Visionary, Ra, and Absolute Zero in Insula Primalis.  I'm playing while watching TV and not really paying full attention when I notice during the environment turn that BB still has 30 HP (due to a string of poorly timed Mobile Defense Platforms) and 13 cards in his trash.  I realize I'm going to have one turn to do 30 damage or I'm going to lose.  Luckily the environment flips an Obsidian Field which should help.

BB plays a Backlash Field and flips the last two cards into his trash.  On Bunker's turn I realize I'm going to need all the help I can get so play Turret Mode even though I only have a Maintenance Unit and Grenade Launcher in play.  I use Bunker Buster as my first power (just because) and then hit him with a Grenade Launcher for 4 (BB = 26).  On Visionary's turn I play Psychic Maelstrom for 3 (23) and use Mental Divergence to ditch that pesky Backlash Field.  In my head I'm thinking that this isn't going to go my way.  On Ra's turn (with Staff of Ra in play) I hit BB with an Inferno for 5 (18) and then realize I can hit AZ for another 3 to activate Isothermic Transducer (every little bit helps).  Three to AZ becomes 5 to BB who is currently the proud owner of a Twist the Ether (13).  A Blazing Tornado later, BB was sitting at 8 HP.

BB starts AZ's turn with 8 HP so I'm feeling a little more positive.  Impale hits him for 4 (4), and Frost Bound Drain hits him for 5 (-1), causing him to flip and restore to 30.  AZ also hits himself for 5 damage with FBD which turns to 7 against the Baron (23).  I deal BB another 3 (20) with Thermal Shockwave and heal AZ for 3 also (AZ is at 23).  AZ has dealt 19 Cold damage so far in one turn.  Thermal Shockwave hits me for 21 Fire which I blast back at Baron for the killing blow.

I thought I was going to have trouble dealing 30 damage in one round and I ended up dealing 63 damage!  I love this game.  I know AZ strategies have been well documented at this point, but I really think I want to write an updated guide for him.

(Full Disclosure:  Originally I had somehow left BB at 1 HP and he was about to be killed by a Velociraptor Pack on the environment turn.  I quickly paused the game and rewound to the beginning of AZ's turn to fully document what I did, but I somehow ended up dealing 4 extra damage.  I must have done something a little different the first time that I'll now probably wrack my brain trying to figure out.)

AZ is an interesting one, for sure. For me, He either does barely anything, or he wins the game via damage enhancements and other combo shenanigans. He's very reliant on the rest of the game state, compared with most of the other heroes.
