I would have thought that there would have been more questions about the mechanics of how OblivAeon works. I guess we will have a couple of weeks before we can ask those. Of course it woul help if I could actually attend the chat session. Anyway were there more questions about what shield cards were or anything like that in the second half of the chat?
I just watched the stream with rechat and I did not see any more questions about shield cards. Admittedly it was hard to keep track of which questions Adam was answering due to backlog and most of them scrolling off the screen before he got to them.
My hypothesis for the final stretch goal is promos for the following heroes:
KNYFE, Ra, The Scholar, Guise, NightMist, and then either Naturalist, Chrono-Ranger, or Cleverest Legacy.
Here’s my logic. Counting all the heroes that are not getting promos with this expansioni got these, the Freedom 5, Unity, The original 4 Dark Watch, and the Sentinels. Not counting completionist Guise. I don’t see the Sentinels getting anything, because of the Void Guard, and the Freedom 6+ ask have a whole bunch of promos as is. Plus, the Dark Watch are a group, so I don’t see them all getting promos.
As far as characters that are relevant to the story, The Scholar and Guise have been fighting off Aeon Men together for a while, which is why I think they are likely candidates. Ra hasn’t gotten a promo in AGES, and KNYFE if directly linked to this whole thing. And then there’s NightMist, with the whole “Be The Gate thing.”
That leaves 1 promo left. Honestly, I don’t see how relevant Chrono-Ranger and Naturalist are to this whole arc, and it would be a really fitting love letter to the fans to include, as the $1,000,000 stretch goal, the promo we’ve all been begging for, even though they’ve said that they weren’t going to.
Christopher reiterated yesterday that Cleverest Legacy is not getting a promo.
This is from memory,but Christopher described Scions as being double sided with rules on the front and back ,the scion card deck will apparently change what they can do a little, Christopher specifically said there were like the Ennead but different
I think the Scions will require you to defeat a certain number of them to get things needed to defeat Oblivaeon.
In that way they would be live the Ennead, in that card would work no matter who was out, and different ones woud come out during the fight, but different in that they aren't really a team.
Well, then that makes one empty spot, for either Chrono-Ranger or The Naturalist, assuming my logic holds.
I don't see Naturalist getting another promo; Desperate Prey seems to be 'difficulty controlling powers' and Tactics Naturalist appears to be 'GUYS I CAN'T CONTROL MY POWERS GUYS THIS SUCKS', so unless the next promo is further along that scale, I'm not feeling it.
So, Worst of Times Chrono?
The Renegade certainly seems to be having a much worse time of it than Best of Times Chrono.
I don't see Naturalist getting another promo either. Considering where we know his character is going in Tactics from Adams Art stream, his Desperate Prey incap art directly leads into Tactics. Unless they give you his full Chimera form as an SotM promo instead of saving it for a bigger Tactics payoff, I dont see where you would insert another promo for him.
Same with Best of Times Chrono, the incap art shows him being blasted by a gian energy beam (oblivAeon?) which would lead quite directly into Renegade's more horrifuc visage in Tactics
