So, for those that have the Vengeance Box, non-sleevers, what arrangement are you using to fit everything?
Sleevers can answer too if there is something you want to say, we just don't care about you and your plastic cards.
I'm just wondering since all of the stuff so far fits so nicely in my box. (I put the hero character cards in alphabetical order behind the villain/environment cards on one side, and the rest of the hero cards on the other)
I have all my heroes and my bag o' tokens in the Enhanced Edition box. Villains, environments, and oversized cards are in the Vengeance box. Both have room to grow.
I am a sleever.
Not only that, but I've made no effort to get sleeves that fit particularly well.
It was to my great surprise, then, when I found that my sleeved cards would fit on the left side of the Vengeance box. This assumes that the oversize villain card area is at the 'bottom'. I found that the left and right sides of my Vengeance box were different widths. The sleeved cards did not come very close at all to fitting on the right side.
I use the premium greens, so mine are a little thicker. I've got all but Unity, Visionary, and Wraith in my EE box. Then I've got all villains and environments in my RC/IR Box. In the Vengeance box, I've got Unity, Visionary, Wraith, and 2 extra Legacy decks (1 was swag from the party) all on the left side. I've got my oversized Villains cards, and all the counters in the middle, and I've got my stitch counters (it's what I use for hero/villain hp) on the right side.
I'm not cool enough to use the premium greens like broccoli, but I use the regular greens! I put all of the heroes in the Enhanced Edition box, and all the villains and tokens in the Vengeance box. Environments are split about 50/50 between the two.
You're making my OCD upset, you guys. All the things that are the same types of things need to go in one box! No splitting up heroes or environments for me...
It's bugging the hell out of me having the Dark Watch Setback promo card in the box because I can't put it in its rightful place between the Scholar and Tachyon. But if I move it out of the box I might lose it.
Ive managed to sleeve my entire Sentinels set in clear Ultra Pros. Heroes all fit snugly into the original box. Villains and Environments both fit cleanly into the IR/RC Box.
Im with Silverleaf on the OCD, I had my Villains and 1/2 my Environments in a WoWTCG box until the release of the second big box. It drove me crazy.
I bought a complete new set of cards when thet reprinted and made the RC/IR box, still need to replace my ST set, CR and OX are getting really worn down. I've sleeved all my new cards this time, heros in EE, villains/environments in RC/IR. I'll have a 2nd copy of all but Vengeance once I replace ST. I may be rearranging some things once Vengeance arrives.
You should just leave Setback with Expatriette. Then you'll know where he's supposed to be at all times.
Seriously! Everything is alphabetical and everything has its place and Setback and I are both feeling quite out of sorts because of it.
–I don't have Vengence yet (any day now, I hope), but I am planning on having all the heroes and environments in the EE box and the villains all in the Vengeance box. In alphabetical order not counting the articles (even the Spanish one) because that's how it's done if the world is to remain sane.

The only one I can't work out is Miss Information. Mr Fixer is under F, La Capitan under C, The Wraith under W, but Miss Information's name pun makes me want to put her under M, since I think of her as Misinformation which clearly doesn't belong under I.
Still haven't decided about her. Both options feel wrong.
I keep all my heroes in the EE box and my villains/environments in the RC/IR box, though I put the vengeance lid on it. I use an Iris photo case for my oversized cards, they fit in perfectly and don't slide around much, the vengeance box has a little too much space for them.

I have some OCD myself and with a few custom heroes in my EE box and since we need the extra space for WotC, which my customs are using right now, I needed to put my environments elsewhere. I have villains on one side and environments on the other, with the vengeance villains behind the environments and some of the foam inserts in between. The new villains don't quite fit with the others so needed to be seperated.
I don't actually have OCD but I'm very particular about things being in sensible places. I can't find things unless there's logic.
I hadn't thought about where to put the V5, but I totally agree they don't belong with the regular villains. I'll probably put them in alphabetical order, but with all of them at the end of the villain section.
My friends laugh at me, but it honestly does bother me if things aren't "right".
I'm planning on getting the Cauldron fan expansion available on BGG once it's complete, and it'll take a lot of mental juggling deciding where to put them. Do they integrate, or stay in their own section? I dunno.
Believe me, I'm the same way. I grew up with a shrink for a dad, so I know the terminology. We're not OCD, but we have Obsessive Compulsive Traits (OCTs). Generally speaking, the difference is both of degree (it isn't crippling) as well as quantity (average people have a few OCTs, people with OCD have lots). I'm the same way with sleeving as well as things being in a logical order. Personally, I put all the V5 villains where "Vengeance Five" would be alphabetically (thus currently at the end), and they are sorted alphabetically within that.
My worst OCT by far is with regards to losing things. I can't STAND to lose things. It usually triggers a mild to severe panic attack, and I usually have trouble sleeping if I can get past that. I also sort my closet chromatically. I'm just weird like that.
Yeah, I have a psychology background so it's pretty familiar to me too - I think we all have at least mild OCD-like traits and it's because the stereotypical behaviours like hand washing, checking the security of perimeters (like making sure the modern doors and windows are locked), rituals, etc, would have been important to our survival in our evolutionary past, keeping us safer from infections and attacks and improving group cohesion and such.
That's my excuse. My genes make me do it!
I'm not a sleever because many games don't fit in the original boxes if sleeved, and I don't care about a bit of wear. I am definitely a component bagger though, because things must be segregated. I also prefer to have things in "player bags" if that's feasible, so everything the player needs can be easily handed to them at the beginning of the game, and they can put their own bits away afterwards.
My clothes are ordered by type and then length. Long clothes (dresses with long skirts, longer skirts or shirts with longer sleeves) occupy the left hand side of each type section, with short things on the right. I'll usually avoid similar colours together for ease of identifying individual items.
My games are also organised by size, for efficiency of storage on shelves.
And I'm weird about food too - I have to eat meals consisting of several different foods proportionally. If I have chicken and peas and corn and rice, I can't allow myself to finish the rice before I've started the peas. I can't even eat half the chicken and only a tiny forkful of the other things - I want my meal to be essentially the same meal throughout the eating process, only getting smaller.
I know. It's ridiculous.
My mom and sister are the same way for eating. In our family, we call them clock eaters, because it's like they make clock-like trips around the plate. A little of this, a little of that, repeat, with the ultimate goal being to have exactly one bite of everything left at the end of the meal. As a kid, we used to screw with our mom by pulling a "look over there" and then stealing a bite to make it uneven. We were mean kids. Myself and my brother-in-law are what we call food separatists. We don't like any of our food to touch. We eat all of A, then all of B, etc, usually saving the best for last. However, if a portion has a pre-designed separation (like a sandwich cut in half or a fruit cut in fourths), then those portions can be considered individual portions. My father has to mix all his stuff together into one giant pile.
Human behavior is so fun.
And to be fair, obsessive separatists are every bit as odd as us obsessive clock eaters :P I tend to turn into a mixer about halfway through a mea, but that's at least partially to ensure that it all gets finished at the same time...
