Venting Excitement over the Relivations

There was a lot of Parse in Adam's stream today and she looked fantastic

Oh excellent.

I missed the stream, sadly.

I just updated the chat Q & A on the forum, and you can catch both drawing sessions at:

I'm feeling more and more that when we finally get the Prime Wardens in Tactics they will be missing some members.

Blake Washington is out, but I think more followed him out of reach of future games.

I wonder if we are getting villains as heroes, if we might not get a hero as a scion.

Loved the Parse art in the stream.

If I remember correctly regarding the Prime Wardens, only Haka is not accounted for in Tactics. Fanatic is on Flame Spike from Ra's cards. Argent Adept is on Artillery mode from Bunker's deck (it could be a new Virtuouso, but IIRC Chris revealed during the design of Akash Darsha that the current Adept would be the only one to fight her multiple times (usually it takes her too long to reform.) Tempest is on Regression Burst form Baron Blade's deck. Captain Cosmic is quoted on Rocket Jummp from Om-V's deck. In all of these cases, their are clues in the card art that these fights take place post multiverse timeline (new Ra, Akash having Oblivion shards, Unity's new costume, Omnitron-V.)

It's possible that Haka dies, but I think it's unlikely that they killed the Wolverine/Hulk character who supposedly could have survived the death of all civilization and everybody else (final wasteland timeline, he's the last person standing in that one) Might just be wishful thinking on my part, but everyone else is accounted for from that team.

We know that we're getting "Harpy", aka, Matriarch. We are also all but certain to be getting Baron Blade.

There's some speculation about the Ennead as well, since they are seen fighting along Ra.

In the Q&A, Christopher said we'd recognize all the heros "if we were paying attention" or something along those lines, so none of them are 100% new.

There is so much everything right now. I leave the site for a few weeks (real life been slamming me a bit) come back due to the Oblivaeon e-mail and find a whole ARG puzzle solved while I was gone. Just... what the heck...

I think I need to head over to the comics world page, but here's an interesting thought based off scions being people who we've seen before.

Oblivaeon has the Aeon men, who look like robots, and he found his scions and offered them "collars". Then there is the idea of him destroying and then potentially reforming everything. What if this is all about control? What if the idea of "divine dominance" is at play here, the idea of a god like being who needs absolute control and authority over all things.

The heroes and the villains of the muliverse are getting too powerful though, threatening not the being directly, but it's idea of its own control. They can defy it and that is unacceptable and they must die. That makes Ra's blow even more insulting. They not only defy it, but actually injured it!

And we have villains that play into that trope.

Voss used his sciece to genetically engineer soldiers he controlled. Dawn brings people back from the dead to continue to serve her, they can't die without her permission. Chokepoint controls and manipulates the world around her. The Matriarch controls birds andif the Tactics info is remebered correctly the minds of others, and the Mask according to one of the new stories, is trying to control the Matriarch. Kismet controls fate and luck, to an extent. Kaagra has the Bloodsworn Gladiators who serve her, bound to the Colusseum.

Of course, my recent literary course might be coloring my observations abit.

This is so cool.
