Since I don't want to pollute the other threads with comments on how to toughen up villains or the like, I figured that I'd migrate the discussion to its own thread. So, feel free to discuss all of your tweaks, changes, and house-rules right here!
Regarding Gloomweaver, I've been trying out a new variant to put some teeth in his ol' skull-head. Changes are as follows:
- At the start of the game, place all Zombie cards in the trash.
- Reveal cards from the top of the Villain Deck until Ophidia the Deceiver and one Relic are in play. Shuffle any other revealed cards back into the Villain Deck.
- At the End of the Villain turn, Gloomweaver plays as many cards from the Villain Deck as there are Villain Relics in play.
- When all three Villain Relics are in play, flip Gloomweaver's character card.
This way, Gloomweaver's automatically dealing at least some damage off the bat and is much more likely to reveal Relics, as there are less cards in the Villain Deck to start the game and he's automatically going to get an End of Turn play thanks to the first Relic out. I like the idea of Zombies coming directly from "the graveyard" whenever a Cultist dies, but starting the game with them in play in addition to the rest is just too much.
Thoughts?
