Walk in the park

Just finished a game against Voss with the heroes near full strength.

GI Bunker started with Ammo Drop

Young Legacy started with Inspiring Prescence

Mr. Fixer started with Dual Crowbars

Ra played Imbued Fire

Absolute Zero neutered a Forced Deployment with Fueled Freeze

Neither ship came out.

Realm of Discord had little negative effect. Positive Energy didn't help the minions enough to keep them alive. Time Crawls only slowed me down a little. Ethereal Bubbles got one-shot by the second hit from Dual Crowbars. Time Flies was fun.

Bunker had a hand full of cards but never got to take advantage of Gatling Gun or Omnicannon because of Time Crawls. Both of them got played when Time Flies came out, but I won the game a couple hero turns later. Bunker's removal of Voss' DR meant I could leave one minion out and just pound Voss on his front side. I actually had to leave two minions out so that Mr. Fixer would have a first target with his Dual Crowbars so he could hit Voss as the second target.

Imbued Fire meant Absolute Zero couldn't heal himself after the first round, making Thermal Shockwave less useful, but two Impaling Structures were quite nice.

If you played advanced do you think it would go as smoothly?

In this case, I think it wouldn't have made a difference.  Bunker was cancelling his DR, and he never flipped.

The minions would have been harder to take out so it could have had an impact on how much damage could have been directed at Voss.  The first crowbar hit from Mr Fixer would have needed to hit Voss first to make sure the minion went down depending upon what he had out for a Style.  With a slight extension of the game a ship or detrimental environment card could have come out like Claustrophic Delsuion forcing him to flip Voss if he wanted to damage him.

He had Inspiring Presence and Imbued Fire. That’s enough to kill any minion except the fire-sworn or a guard using the crowbars even with advanced.

I love Firesworn and Imbued Fire. It allows you to deal AoE damage, and not worry about Voss flipping.

Yeah, most of my wins against advanced Voss have involved Legacy. The extra damage boost helps you not just on the front side with the DR, but also to help you mitigate the extra targets played when he flips.

I forgot about the Inspiring Presense.   So really the only worry would be Claustophobic Delusion staying out for an extended period of time and really would be a minor nuisance.

This!
