What movies are you going to see in December?

I know I must see:
The Hobbit
Lincoln
Skyfall
Les Miserables

I was very excited about Anna Karenina, but the reviews are bad.

I would like to see Life of Pi, but I’m afraid it won’t be anywhere near as good as the book.

I loved Cloud Atlas. I’m disappointed that it didn’t do better in theaters.

So, what are you going to see?

I don't bother going to the cinema these days - it's so expensive, I find it better to just get the DVD when it comes out, because that can actually be cheaper than just going to see it once at the cinema.

I am looking forward to the Hobbit as well.

I have seen Skyfall and I highly recommend it as it is an awesome Bond film.

I would also like to see Lincoln as it seems the most true and least dramatized version of his life.

The rest are rentals at best in my opinion as they are probably not going to be as good as the source material.

Top on my list: The Hobbit. Hopefully NOT 3D and hopefully not IMAX either. IMAX 3D would be a total nightmare :/

Life of Pi

Also interested in a Dutch movie called Koning van Katoren (King of Katoren). It's based on a well-known children's novel. A novel that really fascinated me when I was a kid. Nostalgia basically. What worries me is that it's translated from a Medieval setting to a moddern setting (with smart phones and all).

Some movies are worth seeing on the big screen, at least once. I'm pretty sure Skyfall just won't be the same on DVD.

But I am going to wait to see Flight and The Sessions until they come out on disk next year.

I wanna see a bunch...

Skyfall: the reviews are good and I love the director.

Life of Pi: I loved the book and I love Ang Lee, so that bias will probably make me enjoy the movie.

The Hobbit: I might be able to see it on the huge (imax) but not sure.

Lincoln, Les Mis, etc... dvd.

Definitely The Hobbit.

I love James Bond, but I have a bluray player and a big TV for a reason and that reason is seeing action movies after they've left the theaters. (My husband went and saw it with my dad a couple weeks ago while I had lunch with my best friend who was in from out of town.)

I'm honestly not that excited about Les Mis... I feel like I should be, but... eh? Lincoln sounds good, but at 10$ a ticket plus finding a babysitter, I'm just not enthusiatic enough to be bothered. That being said, I'm planning to see The Hobbit in the fancy, 21+ serve-you-dinner-in-leather-seats theater for which I am willing to pay a premium and there is a strong likelihood that I will see it twice, first in regular screens and then once in 48fps 3D because I am curious.
