Where for art thou OblivAeon?

Both Maggie and Paul are looking into what happened with my shipment.

Will keep you posted.

48 plus hours and… Nothing.

Not surprised at this point. Just very disappointed.

… Dude. It’s Sunday. I’ve been watching this thread with little more than rolled eyes for someone who hasn’t accepted that GtG said they weren’t going to be able to get to damaged or missing shipments until after the rest of the packages were shipped out, but this is too much.

They are people with lives that probably take weekends off (when they aren’t giving them up to go to a Con). You’ve already learned that it was likely FedEx, and not GtG that caused the issue, and that they have two people looking into it. You posted on Friday at 11am their time that they were looking into it. That means there were maybe 6 business hours left between then and now for them to contact FedEx about it and get a response. Getting anything about a specific package in that amount of time is incredibly unlikely.

Chill.

Considering Paul said he’d look into it 27 hours before Maggie and they claim the game shipped they had plenty of time to check the tracking number.

And no matter how chill I am or am not I’m going to continue to post here and on KS until I have it in hand.

My name’s in the rulebook and I’d like to actually see it.

@Yak Guardian

At this point it seems like your parcel was definitely lost, which sucks. We've had a few other lost parcels (right around the 0.2% rate, which is about average). If you have not yet, please fill out this form to let us know what is missing (and that goes for everyone else too!). This lets us get all of the replacement or damaged issues in a single place and will let us get them out as fast as possible once we start on that phase of fulfillment (most likely next week).

Paul,

Thank you. I have filled out the form. (Actually two, one for the missing shipment, one for the damaged canvas which the frame shop said could not be repaired.)

I’m really looking forward to being able to play the finished product.

For those of you still reading this thread, based on GtG responses here and elsewhere, the 0.2% lost-in-transit packages, mine included, could be shipping out as early as today.

Fingers crossed.

I'm still reading, and hoping for a speedy resolution for you!

First, thank you Carnilius.

Second, direct from my inbox, an email from GtG…

Spirit Island: Jagged Earth is LIVE on Kickstarter.

I…

I got nothing. There is no family-friendly response to that.

(wanders away, shaking head)

So the most recent word is that the reshipping of "lost" orders is starting today.

Sigh.

On the bright side one of the many people in town who did get their order is supposed to be at one of the local store's game night tonight.

Could be that 0.2% is a reasonable enough loss rate that the company continues with its plans as normal. I mean, it stinks for you - my sympathies - but there doesn't seem to be any reason to delay the Spirit Island Kickstarter over it.

I never said they should have delayed the KS, but it really felt like a slap in the face.

I admit that part of the purpose of this thread is to vent my frustrations.

But it is also that, as a playtester, I feel like they should have feedback on this issue just as much as if I'd found an issue in the design of one of their games.

At least it's not like Shadowrift, which before delivering the reward from their Kickstarter that contained their base game, launched a second Kickstarter for a 2nd edition of the game that would make the delivered base game obsolete.  That sucked.

Paul said that things could go out as early as last Monday. Maggie said things were actually going out last Wednesday.

Status: no package, no email, no tracking.

Also, saw a comment over at KS that hits on something that I had been wondering about. Approximately 200 people are missing their packages. 228 people backed at the Total OblivAeon level. Almost all the "where's my stuff" comments are from people who backed at that level. Just an observation. Probably just a coincidence.

Someone said this on KS but I went and confirmed it myself, Amazon lists Friday as the release date for OblivAeon.

Sigh.

I’m skeptical Amazon has the right release date as they’ve been promising all sorts of dates this whole time.   What I have understood (nothing confirmed mind you) is that sales would start near the end of the month.   Honestly, I’m glad GtG is able to sell it to the public at this point as that brings this KS closer to the end.   On the same hand I hope the remaining backers missing their stuff get it before whatever the street date is they have set.

I hope we do too but it's getting difficult remaining optimistic.

I’m quite aware I’ve read this thread.

Literally laughing out loud. Thank you for that.

An informal poll over on the KS board seems to support that whatever the issue is, it is tied to the Total OblivAeon tier.
