I had to review Podcast Episode 19, in which Christopher says she's "working with a brand-new hero team" with five all-new characters. Not a member, just working with them. I actually do recall hearing that the first time around, but forgot. Of course, it turns out that at least one member isn't actually an all-new character after all.
you sure he didn’t say all new heroes instead?
That’s what I heard listening again that it was brand new team with five new heroes.
I thought it didn't sound right that Legacy was on Daybreak, since she's supposed to be part of the Sentinels of Freedom. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time a superhero was on two teams at the same time.
Well, I mean, I guess I could just...
The members of Daybreak:
- Rockstar
- Headlong
- Muse
- Aeon Girl
- Muerto
[takei] Ohhh myyyy… [/takei]
And let the speculation begin!
This is almost certainly wrong, but the first thing I pictured for Headlong was a reformed Highbrow, since, ya know, she has a long head.
I hope not and doubt it quite a bit considering her appearance from Fort Adamant. That would be a very creepy hero
So we have a zombie for a hero or one that uses the dead based on that name
Yeah, "Muerto" suggests that the character is himself dead. One who makes use of the dead (a necromancer of some sort) would probably use "muerte" or some derivation thereof. Also, this shoots down the all-female theory (or it would be "Muerta").
"Headlong" sure does sound like a double entendre for someone with a literally long head. Maybe a psychic, maybe a stretcher (we don't really have one of them yet). It wouldn't be a bad name for Tempest's offspring, either, since Tempest is considered hotheaded by Maerynian standards, and their child would be even moreso.
You already have Muse so it seems unlikely to me that you’d two psychic heroes on same team unless there is a major difference in how they apply those powers.
We don't know a lot about Muse's capabilities. She's almost certainly a "minion master" archetype, but whether she has psychic abilities beyond that we don't know. In the card game she deals psychic damage, but whether she can read minds, move objects, or any of Visionary's other stunts is unknown. There could be a more traditional mentalist, perhaps much like Highbrow with the "analyst" emphasis.
Hold on! Let me imprint that in my mind.
You beat me to it! XD
As someone who is familiar with our timeline's inspiration for Rockstar, I'm looking forward to learning more about her.
Give us an Image please. This can help with a lot of the questions.
