Hello! Medium-term enthusiast, first-time poster. Good community here!
We were fighting Iron Legacy for the first time- Team Leader Tachyon, Argent Adept, Omnitron X, and... Young Legacy. A father-daughter showdown for the ages!
We could tell he was tough -- Tachyon got pounded for 15 or so in the first round -- but we got lucky. OX and AA took care of his ongoing, and the young Parsons got in Takedown after Takedown (with some help from that AA card that heals everybody and brings back cards from the graveyard with the goofy name).
Finally, with her (alternate dimension? just plain bonkers?) dad down to his last hitpoints, Young Legacy turned her atomic gaze on Iron Legacy and declared,
"Pauline is the one who does the killing around here, and I have killed YOU! I killed you, DAD!"
It'd be hard for that to happen in my group, though - we've adopted a "reverse Nemesis"rule for Legacy versus Legact, in which each does minus one damage to the other.
That makes sense. We were actually pretty surprised they weren't nemeses to begin with. We tried to imagine what the Young Legacy-Iron Legacy interactions would be like ("I SAW YOU DIE"), but kind of defaulted to Wizard People. It's one of our default defaults.
Totally stealing "default defaults" as a phrase, just so you know.
Yeah, at first, I thought they should be nemeses, but then I realized that neither Paul nor Pauline would be that keen to attack him, and he would, if anything, break off from a fight to keep Pauline from dying again. Arguably, he might act nemesis-ey towards an earlier version of himself, but the reverse-nemesis thing works better in my book. It does make Lead From The Front even crazier than it already is, but even with the damage penalty, Legacy will probably go down in 1-2 turns under all that abuse, so hey.
The thing I do find odd is that Visionary isn't his nemesis, though. Didn't she come back in time to prevent him from existing? I know they ran out of space for more icons and all, but it's sadistic to give nemesis status to someone like Unity, who should never go in against IL, ever, and not Visionary, the only hero who has faced him before on her non-promo version.
