Anyone see Moana yet?

Seriously. Have you seen Moana yet? Te Kā is totally Akash'Bhuta.

*spoiler*

Totally even after the reveal. Which I figured might be the case, given Akash'Bhuta's style.

It was really wonderful! Probably one of my favorite movies this year, although I think I enjoyed Kubo and the Two Strings more...

Plus, it had hakas!

I felt very much like I was watching Haka (with some Naturalist) and Tempest fight Akash'Bhuta.

Excellent film!

You have convinced me to watch this.

I think it is fantastic. I've seen it twice. :)

It was solid, and beautiful. but I felt it was missing something. It wasn't bad at all, but some of the songs weren't up to snuff, and, it was just missing something I can't really explain.

But by no means is it a bad movie. It is definitely worth seeing.

I enjoyed it a lot, now that we're discussing. I totaly didn't think of the fact those were Haka's that he was doing!

I do agree that the songs weren't quite as memorable as some previous disney movies. And given that it wasn't really a Villain does bad things we have to stop them story, but rather a 'This is a story of finding out who you really are,' it feels... well just different than most disney movies.

I haven't seen Kubo and the Two STrings yet Rabbit, but I really really want to.

Though, I will say, the Jokes were on point! Moana getting pushed back onto the boat over and over again by the Sea, and the joke about 'Look, you're in a dress and you have an animal companion. Princess'

Did you know Alan Tudyk (Walsh from Firefly) was the 'voice' of Heuheu? (the rooster/chicken)

Havn't seen Moana yet, but I have seen Kubo. So I guess that puts me in the middle.

Yep! He's become Disney's John Ratzenberger, and will likely have a part in every Disney animated film going forward.
