Remember, Voss is basically Space Hitler; if Hitler had showed up in Germany in 1948 or so, the German Army wouldn’t have automatically signed on with him again. The fact that Lieutenant Tamar works with them is a little more understandable, with him being a little closer to their level; they may not agree with his boss, but they might still be willing to side with him in a tactical situation, at least for the sake of getting the rebellion put down.
